Yesterday, his line went up against Domi and Marner.

In the first two periods, there were maybe one or two shifts that were even, or in the Front's end. Every other shift was a lengthy stretch of quality scoring chances for his line. Totally dominated.

He and Crouse had 3 pts each and Watson had one.

If they had hit the net on a couple open-net setups, and Parsons hadn't put on a goaltending clinic, they could have all had 6 pts each.

He was pretty impressive.

Wouldn't have guessed that the bell curve above was pessimistic when the vote went down.

He has a chance at 30 points now.

21 points in 9 games for a 2.33 pts/game average. He has 4 games left, so he's on pace for 30 points.

4 games left, he's at 21 points. He should crack 30 if he's not rested.

I thought the bell curve was a bit aggressive. Turns out it under-estimated him. Having said that, the next two games are against Oshawa, so he likely won't continue at the same pace.

Regardless, I figured anything over 20 was impressive. 21 with 4 more to play is insane.

Yeah....pretty much. Hes going to be hard to contain in the playoffs. I cant wait to see this kid on our second line next season.

To paraphrase Sutter: Second line? Which one is that?

Assuming essentially the same roster (which is dangerous), you'll have Gaudreau-Monahan-Hudler returning as the #1 line. Hartley has also kept Bouma-Backlund-Jones together for a long period as a shut down line to go against the other team's #1 line. I suspect that Hartley will continue to have a line like that, and it won't be a great place for Bennett to break into the NHL despite his well rounded game.

My guess is Bennett starts next year on a "3rd line" with Jooris/Granlund and Poirier.

That's assuming we don't add another top-6 forward in the offseason, which I assume that we would.
