They will be lucky to get 6 pts and will be knocked out of a playoff spot.

They will win some, and fans will get far too high.

They will lose some, and many will jump off bridges while others declare them the worst team of all time.

They will come home after the trip and the standings will look very similar to what they look like now.

3-3-1. The last eastern swing where they lost 4 was in the middle of their 8 game slide... this is a different team now. They have played well on the road since Christmas and there are some softer teams on this road swing.... will be tough but I think we will be .500 and set up well for the rest of the year.... in the thick of it.

Remember all the talk about how tough the schedule was in February, and how so many people figured that would be their undoing?

So far they have played:

PIT, BOS, ANA, LAK, SJS, SJS, VAN, WPG and MIN

They are 5-3-1. They have NYR, NJD, and NYI remaining.

If they can go 1-1-1 and end Feb with a 6-4-2 mark, that would be pretty damn impressive and would set them up nicely for the playoffs with a much more reasonable schedule in March.

Just going by the current strength of the opposition, we should win 3 games. Anything above that will be a bonus.

Ramo knows this is his shot. If he's very good, he'll get more than one game. The Flames know that if they blow this road trip it will be tough sledding for the rest of the season. The Anaheim game will motivate them to show they're for real. I think they'll do very well. Fingers crossed just in case.

Yeah I'm hoping they play well under the pressure... 4 teams in the division alone within 1 point of each other . The Kings's recent tear certainly makes for fun times

If they can win at least 2 of the games against NYR, NYI and NJD, I will be happy. My only 3 Flames games live this season and I'm flying across the continent to see them.

I think 6-7 points during this trip is most likely.

I think the Senator's and Flyers are the only games we will win. NJD looked strong against Vancouver a few days ago.

I hope they could win at least three games on the trip but they just haven't played well as of late and the goaltending has been poor as well. Team needs to wake up and start playing better all around.

They will exceed expectations on this Eastern swing. They are a more confident team now than previous Eastern road trips this year. Islanders and Red Wings best them, but the Flames win against the Rangers, Devils, Flyers, Bruins and Sens - take 10 out of 14 points.

I can't believe the Islanders just got 0-4'd by a banged up Vancouver. We're gonna get the other end of that stick =/

I received my moniker of 'One of the Nine' several years ago when I homeristically (EDIT: along with 8 others) chose the Flames to go perfect through a similar Eastern road trip. That was a very different team from what we have today.

So might as well go the homer route again and choose 12-14 pts (I say 7 wins).

Please... we need just 2 more to make this same choice so we have '9' once again

3-3-1..all tight games, maybe one bad loss, but if they can get some puck luck/whatever you want to call it, and can turn it into 9+ points, I think you can start talking about playoff matchups....it wil be that tight at the end.

Toughest part of the year, this is where you hope the team has the mental strength, given the spacing out of these games....a boost from the trade deadline for the backhalf would be ideal (recall the first game Jokinen played after the first acquisition in 2009? Him and Iginla both had 3 points early in the 2nd vs the Flyers). edit: Sorry, Iginla had 2 assists on 2 Jokinen goals (and Olli had a penalty), and that was in the first 15 minutes of the game, as the Flames beat the Flyers 5-1 on March 5 2009.

Flames first game post deadline this year is against the Flyers as well.
