This feels like it's the same ball bark as most years timing wise. I don't track it, but it's always well in advance to whether we know the team will be in the playoffs, so I don't think there's any timing factors for the new rink. I don't think they'll be looking to free up seats either TBH, rather have a base of clients to sell to and get to commit in advance.

It's not any earlier than normal. For some reason, last year's renewals were later, but they usually come out in mid-February.

Probably, I think the main thing driving demand(or lack of it) is people backing off on discretionary spending because they are worried about the local economy. The Flames are putting out a very good product and they want you to forget about the oil price, but its tough to do for some people. I also wonder if they need the extra money in the pot because of the currency issue with labor costs effectively rising by at least 20 percent.

The Flames have no trouble selling rows 1-3. Rows 4+ are harder, so they do more to entice people to buy. Personally, I'll take the view over the food card.

FYI: "your 2015 Stanley Cup Playoff renewal will be sent to you in March". From my renewal email.

I don't think this season's playoff ROFR has anything to do with next season's ticket renewal as someone alluded to.

Looking at my monthly payment, the green seats appear to have gone down about 5%. I'll have to dig up last year's renewal.

The monthly payment is lower this year because last year's renewal came out later and it was an 11 month split. This year, it's back to 12 months.

I preferred the 10 month plan. It was nice having a break in there..

I've heard similar stories, though I've been told you're locked into your seats for three seasons (anyone know if this is true? Still learning).

If that's the case, I don't know if I'd want to hold PL's for three just for the opportunity to move in 4. I'm willing to wait it out and buy tickets on the go for now if it means landing something better down the line.

Did you get a discount last year for some reason? 4 whites should have been over $12,000.

Bah, our section 205 seats went up 9%. Seems out of step with others.

EDIT: Flames responded that last year ours was 41 games (bought ours very close to the start of the season), this year it's 45 with the preseason games too. Makes sense - and definitely appreciated the prompt reply from them. No change in price actually for Orange 205 compared to last year for 45 games.

I think your opportunity to relocate on PL seats is pushed back 2 or 3 years. Anything other then PL puts you in the queue for the next relocation.

A closer-row PL wouldn't be the worst thing - but the prospect of twiddling my thumbs until they decide to build a building...

I guess I'll just ride it out and see. With all the oilfield changes, maybe some stuff frees up.

If I did, I wouldn't see why I would have. I wasn't offered, or told of any discounts. Looking at my invoice from last year, the total does show $11655.48 total, with nothing about discounts at all.

I recently joined the Hot House and actually called them today to get some more information. From what I was told if you accept the PL seats you are immediately placed higher than anyone on any wait list. When the seat relocations happen (is this annual?) you get a chance to move.
..

Is there an additional cost for those first 3 rows and are they much harder to come by? Someone in here already said that they didn't include the food vouchers for these seats...Is that the only difference or is there a price difference as well vs rows 4+?

This continuous to piss me off. Why the f do press levels get vouchers when the rest of us get nothing? Good for press level people but I want free food.
