He doesn't bring anything positive to this team. Enough is enough.

What were his comments? I don't have time to go through the 776 post Glencross thread?

Scratch him. Injury risk is something you don't want to accept at this point. This is a business and you have an asset that you are trying to move. No room for sentimentality and he hasn't been that big a part of the team's success of late to think he will impact the result.

You have to dress him. First, he will bring his A game tonight to impress the Ducks if that is his first choice and secondly, we need all the help we can get against the Ducks tonight.

Unfortunately I think this just results in stupid hooking penalties in the offensive zone after another failed drop pass to the wrong team. He just doesn't seem to have any chemistry with anyone they play him with (never knows where they're going to be, thus the passes to no one).
I don't have a hate on for him, but I just don't see what his defenders do. He's not the player he used to be, and if he hadn't taken a "Hometown Discount" and was making 5-6m right now, I don't think he would have any supporters.

Really depends how close they are on a deal. If there's one basically done (or looking like it's a go and you're just arguing on a minor piece) then you have to scratch him to avoid injury. If it's just the ball getting rolling on trade talks, then he should dress; who knows, could have a great game and up his value.

I'm not sure why some people on the forum seem to be taking this so personally. It's a business folks. Glencross is a commodity that the Flames should and will get something for. If they have a couple of possible deals on the table, with his history of injuries, I say the smart thing is to scratch him. if there is no deal even close right now, then play him.
Asset management. That's all this is. Nothing personal.

Totally agree. His trade value will depend on his body of work over the past few seasons and comparables that are available. He won't save this season with one outing.

Play him. Hopefully Glencross has the type of game where he has something to prove, is angry, and he scores a hat trick. We need all the help we can get with the Ducks. Scratch him and it leaves a hole in the lineup.

If Hartley sees Glencross as one of his 12 best forwards for this game, based on how he wants his forwards to line up, then he should play him. You should only scratch him if:
a) A trade has been agreed and is being submitted to the league
b) The player is no longer considered a good teammate, and would disrupt the team
Since I don't think either is true today, he should play

I voted to scratch him due to injury concerns. I say that only assuming that there's a trade heating up. If Treliving is on the phone today and thinks he has a deal pretty much ready to go, you scratch him. That would also signal to other teams that something is going down and they can get their final offers in. If the trade lines are cold and there's not much happening then dress him. As much as some seem to dislike him, he can be an effective player out there.

Sit him as they brought up a forward replacement already. He hasn't earned what he thinks he deserves this season, especially with the others play. His speaking out is not team play or a team attitude. I don't think he makes it to the game as a Flame.

No, I think most people probably feel the same way.
All I heard from him was honesty. OMG, he is unhappy with less ice-time!! If he wasn't, THEN I might have a problem with his comments.
Unfortunately, it only takes one or two people to post garbage about him being a jerk or whatever to create a bad taste.
Yes they should play him.

Double digit teams are interested. Treliving tells Hartley to scratch him. Any game he plays is potential for injury.
