Having two guys decent at taking draws on the same line isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think Jooris is better off on the wing though.

Just not often in the opponent's zone for Granlund

I'm ok with Wolf going down. Would rather he get some games in than sit in the press box.

But, but, but.... there's a face off before and after every goal.

Really hated that article. It's a perfect example of misusing corsi stats. Corsi is a useful indicator but it doesn't tell anywhere close to the full tale of a player or a team.

Fixation on possession stats is myopic and leads to suggestions like replacing the minutes Bouma plays with Stajan. Does anyone here really believe that would make the Flames a better team with better results even if it did succeed in minimally improving our possession stats.

Because I think the advanced stats analysts forget that the point of roster moves and line combinations is in fact getting more wins, not increasing possession stats.

Can play Jooris similar to how Iggy was played in his last couple years. He'd take the draw then slide over to the wing.

It was clear to me that Wolf wasn't ready for the NHL. His skating needs a lot of work.

Wow that article is terrible it suggests we give Colbornes minutes to Devin frickin Setoguchi but you thik its a good representative of Granlunds play? This article is a good example of people who overuse stats and allow them to color their views of layers too much.

I didn't even read the article. I pointed to it because it has stats. Stats that show Granlund is getting killed more than any other player on the team in possession. Which correlates pretty strongly with how badly he's getting killed on faceoffs.

I liked what I saw but I agree, fine tuning still required on conditioning and skating

Using an article you haven't read and a single stat without taking into account other factors is a poor way to form an arguement. Just looking at Jooris vs Granlund Jooris has spent a lot more time with gaudreau and Hudler so that will drag his corsi up. How much time did they spend with Gio and Brodie who drag everyones corsi up. He doesnt even state if he is using 5v5 only corsi, and this was published february 12 Granlund has only played in 2/3 of the games Jooris has how is this effecting his stats? Did we have a streak of good corsi games or bad inbetween then?

This I think is a possible scenario. Current role for Glencross is depth two-way forward, and Granlund is I believe most ready to play that role.

Jooris has spent 35 more minutes with johnny and about 10 more with hudler while its not as big a difference as i thought I also mentioned more time spent with Gio and Brodie where he has spent about 80 minutes more with each. Not to mention all the other factors i mentioned; however you are obviously not even attempting to provide a cogent arguement so I will end this here.
