Didn't get to watch the game but I'm not terribly concerned that we lost one. Even though they are struggling a bit they are still the cup champs.

you knew the kings were going to come out firing with their backs against the wall. Looks like they hot their Mojo back. Key here is not to lose back to back.

Rough game. Scary to see the Kings play like that - they'll push hard for a playoff spot.

I agree that Wolf should have been in tonight's game. His size and hustle would've been nice to see.

Nothing shocking, but...
- Wideman had an awful game defensively. Russell really does cover up a lot of his mistakes (most nights)
- Hiller was awesome. Ramo was very good in relief as well.
- Monahan/Gaudreau/Hudler couldn't get anything going. One day I really hope we have a line of Gaudreau - Monahan - <power forward>, as games like this show that a PF could help create some much needed space on the ice for Johnny.
- Glencross wasn't very good, Stajan was quite irrelevant.
- Byron's hustle was completely neutralized by LA's size
- Bollig fought.

LA played very, very well.

Now we must move on and crush the scum from Vancouver.

Can the Flames honestly defend a 3 point lead on these guys the rest of the way? Better focus on SJ and Vancouver and finish better than both

Hard to think hockey when it's 32 degrees out and you're at the beach.

I was really afraid the Flames wouldn't mentally be in it tonight after the two day break in SoCal.

- Ice was ****y
- Refs were ****ier
- Hartley's lines were questionable. Bollig is pretty useless. I miss that Wolf / Colborne / Jooris line from the other game. And honestly Glencross is getting too many minutes.. I know Raymond had a good game but he's put in too many stick handling positions on that line and it's just not workin.
- Gaudreau wasn't exactly great, but if we had Sven it wouldn't matter as we'd have another playmaking winger
- Paul Byron and Jonas Hiller were fantastic. TJ Brodie and Kris Russell also had a strong game in my opinion. And in limited time Ramo looked strong.
- Jones' goal was a beauty.
- Monahan was invisible. Might have still been sick.
- Giordano needs to stop staying at home. He hasn't been agressive at all lately and that's when the Flames lose. He's their best player and tonight he didn't play like it.
- Tyler Toffoli is the new damn Mason Raymond when it comes to killing the Flames. I honestly felt last game that we dodged a bullet when he didn't play due to injury, and this game confirms it.
- Wideman is kind of brutal. The quicker he's gone for a better player the the better.
- Drew Doughty just pulled out that legendary next gear. Can't really blame any team for losing to "Playoff Doughty", he's pretty much the best player in the NHL when he plays like that.
- overall, NBD. Go .500+ on the road and just win your home games and you're in the playoffs. We don't want the highest seeding anyways, if we want to draft around 15-17
- **** the Canucks let's destroy them this weekend.

Going to be hard, but historically very few teams have come back from the gap the Kings had. They still stink on the road.

What we realllly need to focus on is just being better than Vancouver and San Jose, and beating them every opportunity. Next game is bigger than this game for me. Even before we lost.

LA is good, really good.... big, strong, probably got away with a lot of interference... we were outplayed for sure, but I thought we still played well all things considered. Despite the standings, these guys are the camps and it shows.

I think one thing this team really could use is that big strong power forward... I think a guy like David Jones is pretty valuable for that role, though we need someone bigger and better.

Mason Raymond... guy got a lot of crap and said he was a terrible signing right after he came back from injury, but he definitely has been producing lately.

felt like a playoff game

I hope they don't spend their time looking at teams chasing them.

Hopefully they just focus on one game at a time, their 7 games game series plan since the beginning of the season

Guess Hartley shouldn't have missed with the winning lineup.

Only 14:49 for Monahan tonight, wonder if he's still sick.

Yikes, flames went from second to barely holding a wildcard spot in 48 hours.

Other than the two assists, I dont think Gaudreau has been very good lately.

Refs let the Kings get away with an awful lot tonight.

New plan:

Push Vancouver below us so that we can't be displaced by any team making a late season bid.

Okay? Okay.

Gaudreau is losing the puck very easily lately and making bonehead passes, and just....passing too much in general. Let's pray Mr. Hockey gets a second wind here.
