My mother in law. That's a huge chunk of her life taken away.
She has 2 tvs on in her living room most of the time. One is usually tuned to sun network.

She loves to argue that climate change is not real.

As much as some people hate to admit it, this network does share the same viewpoints of many people. Do they not have the right to express their own opinion? You don't like it or agree? Don't watch.

Possibly a sizable sales team as well.

The point he was making is that 200 people lost their jobs. That sucks regardless of how you feel about the station.

They're going off the air. If they had good viewership, that wouldn't be happening.

I would have been happier if CBC was gone, thus saving about a billion dollars a year. But at least we can all be good, right thinking, Canadians again. That was a scary four years. The most burried satellite channels will be much safer now.

Could you identify specifically one of these things that a lot of people think but are too scared to say that sun news brought to the table.

Just way too over the top, they made the TorStar look like a moderate centrist voice.

A news station with a particular agenda...

Tried to like it but it is just angry editorial followed by angrier editorials.
Can you really call yourself a news station when you don't broadcast the news?
Never once did I see a news story or feature.

I'm sure it is below what CBC employs. Of course, CBC News doesn't look like it was filmed in someone's basement, and the "talent" isn't that same someone's angry, dimwitted uncle.

A billion tax dollars pays for a lot of production value.

What the hell does "freedom of speech" have to do with it? They still are, and always have been, free to say whatever they want.

"Don't Watch" might as well have been the station motto.

I tried to start my own "flash mob" business in 2003. Didn't get much traction and I ended up on the streets because it was a stupid idea and nobody cared to pay me to do it.

I don't recall anyone standing up for my right to free assembly then. Where were you?

I always laugh how during something like Ottawa shootings everyone raves about the CBC's coverage vs. what the Americans get. Then a few months later everyone forgets and starts bitching about it being taxpayer-funded again. Cognitive dissonance is astounding sometimes.
