Why for shame? Buffalo is doing nothing different that any sports team does in its position. They trade ufa's to get something for the future. Flames would be doing the exact same thing if they were in their position.

I'm hoping neither team gets him.

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
FYI on the conditional pick in Enroth deal: the pick can change depending on Stars making the playoffs and Enroth winning games in playoffs

Unless I'm missing something, I don't see a decent goalie of the future in the Buffalo organization.

They might be tanking for the next few years.

Could they make the tank any more obvious?

Why? Any team not in the west will do for me. I like the Sabres honestly. I hope they turn into a dominant force in the East. Even then, Say another team wins the lottery, McDavid AND Eichel won't end up in Edmonton. And that's even better.

So is it the worst Buffalo can get is a 3rd, but can move up if he wins some playoff rounds?

Ok. THAT is a tank move. Lindback is terrible.

They traded their #1 defenceman for a guy who won't play another game this season.

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Believe more precisely if Enroth wins 4 playoff games for the Stars, the pick becomes a second-rounder

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
If Jonas Enroth wins 4 playoff games for DAL, BUF gets 2nd round pick instead of 3rd. That's the condition. But BUF guaranteed at least 3rd.

They got a defenceman back in trade. I think both dmen are slightly over rated. The only thing Buffalo got rid of was a ufa 3rd line winger and now another ufa goalie. Doubt Lindback becomes the starter.

After today's trades, odds of the #Sabres finishing last, winning the lottery and getting Connor McDavid are 20 percent. Same as yesterday.

A remarkably disingenuous statement given they got a decent defenceman who will play more games this season back as well.

The Sabres next announcement will be that they've hired Kevin Lowe as a Senior Advisor to the GM.

Completely not true. Edmonton tries to compete, they just arent very good at it. Buffalo has been intentionally dismantling for years.
