This is completely false. There is no requirement for orange tips in Canada (that is an American requirement) and airsoft and airguns/pellet guns over a certain FPS rating are classified as unrestricted firearms and require no translucency.

We as a society need to celebrate the different cultures that exist.

However, I do agree that guns are dangerous.

They should have printed out pictures of guns and held up and danced with photos rather than holding airsoft guns which look like real guns.
We do not need to celebrate gangster culture. As a society what we need to be able to do is call out bad ideas like idolizing guns and not be afraid to just because the idea comes from a different culture. Some cultures simply come with terrible ideas that do not need to be respected

Some cultures ARE stupid. Some are dangerous. Many are just downright terrible for the people trying to enact their roles in it. And while every culture has it's problems, some cultures are just blatantly worse than others, either for the people who live in it or people outside it, or both.

The idea that all cultures are somehow equal is an obvious fallacy. Neo Nazis for example have a very clear and distinct culture. Should we also celebrate that? Should we celebrate genital mutilation? Should we celebrate cultures where women are not allowed to study?

Cultural relativism is best used to understand and if necessary accurately criticize cultures. It's not a good defense of anything. (And I'm saying this as someone who has studied his fair share of anthropology, history, philosophy and just cultures in general.)

It's also a very problematic idea in many ways. For example the idea that concepts are true only in relation to it's culture has lead an uncountable number of people down the really dangerous path of thinking that facts about the world are also relative. Facts like medical science for example.

That song is terrible. And those guys don't do any of the stuff they say they do in the lyrics. It's not even their own culture they are portraying. They are trying to mimic someone else' (stupid) culture.

I dunno the video looks an awful lot to me like some independent musicians putting out a self funded music video, in punk rock circles they call that "DIY ethic" to getting your stuff out.

But having said that, if you are dealing drugs, it's pretty damn stupid to brag about it in such a flashy manner. Kinda like folks you see on transit with huge pot leafs on their clothes, might as well be blasting a loud speaker declaring "I'm holding" to everyone around.

It looks like the Haitian and African immigrant sub-culture in Calgary trying to take on the American thug culture. It's a fascinating mix if only for the fact that it is so Calgary.

Officers executed a search warrant Feb. 3 in the 1200 block of 17 Ave. SW, seizing just over 20 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of marijuana, two airsoft guns and more than $8,000 in cash.

You right about the orange tip. Any thing that fires over 500fps must be registered and licensed. Replica guns either Airsoft,Co2 or pneumatic are prohibited.

It must not look that similar to a real glock. Otherwise it would fall under the classification of a prohibited weapon.

Not sure if this youtube comment is accurate-

this isnt even the song he got busted for - just changed the title of this song "petrified" to "streets"
The links for the original song all seem to be broken. They don't want to miss out on the exposure they are getting I guess.

There was a discussion on CP one time that there wasn't anything wrong with the word (I disagree). The word became offensive when it was ni*ger, not when it was ni*ga.

In fact I believe that a post even said he used it when speaking to black friends.
