I would be happy to see either the Sharks or the Jets in the first round.

Would love a Nucks/Flames series that would have a real passion about it, Plus I have lots of friends in Nuck land, it would be great trash talk when we win

If we got home ice advantage against anyone I would be pleased. But I would be pleased with any first round opponent TBQH. But in terms of a first round matchup I would like to watch is CGY-VCR.

Aren't the Flames supposed to play the Canucks every 10 years in the first round....11 this time due to the lost lockout season. I want playoffs, and it would be awesome if it was the Canucks and the Flames beat them.

In a perfect world

Round 1
Van upsets Ana
Chi beats Wpg
Cgy upsets Nas
SJ upsets STL

Round 2
Cgy wins over a beat up SJ
Van upsets Chi

Round 3
Cgy crushes the hopes and dreams of Nuck fans yet again

Final
Montreal goes on a run to make the final but take a beating from the Bruins in the conference finals. Flames in 6.

That is completely impossible.

Calgary and San Jose can't both crossover to the Central and if Calgary is a wild card, Vancouver and San Jose would have to meet in the first round.

If the Flames play Nashville in the first round, the second round would be the winner of Chicago and St Louis (or Winnipeg, if they can pass the Hawks).

You could have:

Anaheim (1P) - Chicago (WC)
Vancouver (2/3P) - San Jose (2/3P)
Nashville (1C) - Calgary (WC)
St Louis (2C) - Winnipeg (3C)

Then you have Chicago, Vancouver, Calgary, and Winnipeg win the first round.

Second round sees Calgary beat Winnipeg, and Vancouver beat Chicago. That leads to a Calgary - Vancouver Western Final.

That would be a fun playoff run.

I'm just happy if we make the playoffs.

Looking to who exactly, I don't know who we'd match up well against, but viewing wise the Blackhawks, Blues and Predators all play in the Central time zone so the games start at 9:00 for me rather than an 11:00 start against Anahiem, San Jose or Vancouver.

So yeah, earlier starts are better (all else being equal).

I votedvancouver because I can't remember the last time Calgary-Vancouver played in the post season and the winner didn't go to the finals! And I like our chances against the canucks in the playoffs.

The Flames and Canucks played in the 1983 and 1984 playoffs. The Flames won both times 3-1 and lost in the 2nd round. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...Flames_seasons

Fixed because a rematch against the Lightning is way better.

I wouldn't mind if the Flames played the Kings in the 1st round.

Can we get another choice up there?

"Any of them"

I'll be so thrilled to make the playoffs it wont matter.
