It would be amazing if these guys could really put an exclamation point on being ready to replace their veteran equivalents. If they do, could make for a very interesting trade deadline for us if we are in the mix still. Not that the vets they are replacing would get much return, but we really make us a seller / buyer all at same time which is neat.
Wolf's skating ability must really have improved in such a short time. Not only that but looks like he's scoring as well. I can see this guy becoming a fan favorite if he turns out.

Hopefully Wolf proves himself and stays up here for good. What a great story.
On a side note, you know you're a hardcore hockey fan when player call-ups get you more excited than the NHL All-Star Game, and just as excited as trade deadline or draft day.

Sounds like Glencross is injured for longer than we assumed. Well, this might be a good look at next year's Flames sans Bennett/Poirier/Ortio/Granlund.
I don't mind Sven on the 3rd line at this point the season playing beside Backlund and Colborne or even on the 4th with Stajan and Byron.
...It's nothing like when he was plugged between any of Bollig, Byron and Setoguchi and expected to produce something.
This. The addition of Backlund and Stajan give the 3rd and 4th lines experienced and more creative centres they didn't have before (with Jooris, who's been positive but more an up and down guy or using Byron at C like they were).
I imagine Sven will play with Backlund and Colborne. It's a decent fit - they all skate well, but not at top speed. Colborne is good down low, Backlund is creative and puck possession, Sven can pass, and hopefully finish. Hopefully Sven can deal with the increased speed in game play, which IMO is where he had trouble before - he wasn't thinking quickly enough. Backlund tends to slow the game down, which is good for Sven.
