I'd like to see the Seattle Fog Goblins.

I'm not sure that has anything to do with Seattle, I just like the name Fog Goblin and think it has awesome logo potential.

I'm going to go ahead and argue that the Nordique's logo was a steaming pile of crap. Their proposed redesign, bland as it was, was better.

What made the Nordiques jerseys was simple colour scheme and the fleur-de-lis at the bottoms of the jerseys.

Love the fleur de lis logo

And someone has to create a team called the Highlanders somewhere so that we can get that Scottish lion crest on a jersey

Love all of them except Ontario (which isn't bad). I especially love the tartan sash on the Highlanders pants.

The Halifax concept is cool.

But I don't understand why sports writers always include it in expansion talks/theories.

Halifax is a great city, when the Mooseheads are winning they support their team (boy howdy did they not give two craps when they were losing, the Halifax Rainmen of the National Bushleague Basketball Association or whatever it is had games that outdrew them). It's a government town without a ton of industry. What's there is the regional offices of Ontario based companies.

It couldn't support a team. Heck it's debatable if they could support the CFL let alone NHL.

It's a city that couldn't make the AHL work.

Sure at first they'd sellout, but think of the atmosphere of the Senators (especially when Toronto or Montréal are in town). It'd be like that and a 50/50 crowd when the Rangers, Bruins and Penguins come to town as well.

It's never work.

Also Halifax has about 400,000 people. And most say "yeah but what's the surrounding area?" Which usually has the reply "oh sorry 90,000 with a surrounding area of 400,000".

They'd also need a new rink.

That said, awesome concept jerseys.

Saskatoon would be a better expansion destination than Halifax. Not that either would be happening anytime soon.

Seattle Kraken looks awesome. The logo/colors are different and unique.

Halifax has a great one as well.

I'd HATE to see a guy in the Ontario Beavers jersey after a fight....that would be one bloody beaver.

Kraken is a lame name but the design is still good.

Whoever designed all of those did a good job.

I really like the Seattle and Halifax concepts. Seattle mainly because it carries over the Metroploitans colours, although those colours are tied more to the 90s version of the sonics. I'd imagine a new team would take on some of the sea blue and/or floresent green that the Seahawks and Sounders have used. Love the Halifax concepts mainly because they're a refreshing change of pace and incredibly unique. I know they steal some of the colours from the Cleveland Barons, but they look amazing.

I'm in different to the Ontario Beavers. Nice idea, but when I think of Ontario I think of Blue. I don't think a green and yellow works with that region.
