I think it'd be best for Hiller to get a start. He was decent against Anaheim.

I think sending Ortio down sends a bad message. The guy stood on his head for 4 games and then had some bad luck in the toughest building in the NHL.

I would like to see us trade Ramo. Replace Ramo with Ortio in the rotation with Hiller.

Ramo will be moved before February, Ortio stays up the rest of the year and gets more starts than Hiller from that point on.

Was just about the say basically the same thing. I think Ramo is the odd man out simply because of contract status with Hiller being signed for another year. I think Ramo will be a better tender than Hiller is, but it's just not going to be with the Flames.

I went with the first option because I think that is the most likely thing to happen. However, I am very much hoping there is a trade and he finishes the year here (whether he goes back now or not).

Also, I would love to see them keep him up for a while to get another start regardless, because it would send a great message to give him a chance to get back at it, and have a chance to prove that he can be consistent at this level, not just riding a hot streak.

Anyone notice that the Jets are in a playoffs position and the reason why? If Ortio is outperforming our other two goalies, why send him down? I don't think his confidence is shattered. I think he's legit, just like Hutchinson is, just like Kipper was. He had bad game too but he'd bounce back. Let's see if Ortio has that in him as well. If not, then he needs more time in the AHL but it sure looks like he's ready to me.

It would be foolish to trade Hiller. While he isn't a top 5 goalie by any means, he is the only veteran goalie with legit NHL experience that we have. Like him or not, if he got hot at the right time, like he did at the beginning of the season, he could carry us to the playoffs. He is our guy that Ortio has to force out of the crease IMO, especially if he wants to emulate Hutchinson.

Ortio, I like, do not get me wrong. However he isn't ready to carry an NHL team, you can't rush these things.

Ramo has played well, and IMO that makes him a very tradeable asset to someone like Detroit or Nashville who has goaltending injury woes.
