Perhaps, it tells that older women had less abortions at their prime child-bearing age, because of the more negative attitude to abortions in that time?

That conclusion, as well as the one you posted above seem rather obvious and pointless (from a funding perspective).
There's a report I recently went through that ended up coming to the obvious conclusion at the end. The thing was, the entire report into detail for all the options to show that yes, the obvious conclusion was the soundest choice to make. You might not know for sure though without some detailed investigation, right? What if that detailed investigation determines that something else is actually a stronger pick?

I factored that in but would expect it to be marginally lower. Then add in the additional 10-20 year's the 30-39 bracket has lived and you would expect that to increase numbers beyond any lower abortion rate from when they were 20-29.

Each group is a completely separate group of women.

If the survey was taken last year, the first group would be women born between 1985 and 1994, the second group would be those born between 1975 and 1984, and so on. It's not saying "by age 60, 39% of all women will have contracted an STI" with the age breakdowns of when they were first contracted.
