As cool as the mask is, and it is cool I definitely don't deny that, this thread is a lot like 'hey, check out how huge my **** is'. It is great you're excited, don't get me wrong, but you have to be one of the hugest subtle braggers on this site and in this case, not even subtle.

edit: also, I just had to type this out. I don't know why. I am not even searching for thanks. Maybe some humility I dunno. Please keep posting pics of your masks, they are honestly pretty sweet (even though personally I'd go less skulls but that's just me).
with heatley it wasn't for a shiny group. he wanted to practice and needed a goalie to shoot on, so i got called. it was myself, heatley and two others on the ice - that's it. i'm glad he paid for the ice time becuz i know what it costs to rent ice in kelowna!

what part is considered bragging? the fact that i could afford to get a mask painted? if it's becuz i shared the cost to get it painted, well, i can pretty much guarantee that someone would have asked 'how much?'

i figured this is a hockey forum and i got a hockey mask painted so i'll share some pics of it. i'm sorry you feel that doing so is bragging, becuz that was not my intention

Don't click the thread if all it's going to do is make you upset.

bc-chris is one of the coolest and positive posters on this site. If he wants to share his pics, successes, etc then I say "why the hell not?"
ya, it isn't a big deal and I can assure you I am not upset. Just voicing an opinion is all.

Nothing wrong ever in sharing success or pics, maybe it's in the delivery. Not sure, seems weird sometimes though but it probably is just in how I'm interpreting it.

no, it's good that you shared the mask and if you don't really get where I'm coming from at this point don't worry about it. It really isn't a big deal.

The Heatley thing was still odd but I will drop it as well as you seem like a good guy overall.

They both look great! Whoever did them for you did a fantastic job.
I can see there was some Kipper influence reflected in the design, you must have been ecstatic when you saw then for the first time.
JMO Hiller should wear either one of them.

thanks - as i mentioned in the original post, rick (the painter) does fantastic work. he's so talented. when i saw the repainted grey mask earlier this week i was pretty much speechless (that doesn't happen very often - just ask my wife! ha!). i had given rick pretty clear instructions with pictures of what i wanted, so i had a really good idea as to what it would look like - but to see it all done and with all the cool stuff that he did - well - i was in awe!

it's interesting that you mention hiller. when i saw his red mask i didn't like it - i think it was becuz the red paint was a different shade than the red in the jersey (at least it looked that way on tv and in pics). then there was the thread with his new black mask and honestly i didn't really like that one either. but after seeing it with the different jerseys i've changed my mind and i really really like it now. the differences with the flat black and high gloss is really cool imo. i think it was hrudey that was talking about the mask during one of the broadcasts and saying how amazing the mask looks live and was hoping that the cameras were able to pick up the differences between the blacks.
