Ok, time to trade Hiller and keep Ortio around full time.

So? Does this mean you run with Ortio until he flops? I mean he's red hot right now.

Good W tonight. Shore's line was great all around even though they didn't put up points. He certainly looks like a good #3 C.

This is what happens when you have people playing on merit. You better believe we see Hiller on his A game the next time he suits up too.

Hiller and Ramo have been solid, not spectacular, with a few stinkers thrown in. Could Ortio be the spark that gets this team into that "extra gear" down the stretch? I don't know but I'd sure like to find out...

Turku Goaliebot 2.0... powers getting stronger.

When Jones is healthy I love his game. I don't even know if he'd be considered overpaid if he could stay healthy for an entire year.

I am happy, but it felt like we barely deserved this one.

Lots of obvious guys to praise, but I'm going to give props to the Flames 4th line of Byron-Stajan-Bollig. With Bollig skating the way he was tonight, that's not a "throw them out and pray they don't hurt you" 4th line, it's a genuine momentum generator.

Top 6 depth is undoubtedly important, but bottom 6 depth, where you can truly roll 4 lines, and handle the loss of a Glencross without skipping a beat, is the sign of a really good team.

Let's not forget red hot Backlund and that beauty by Gio. Man Gio is awesome. And yes, Ortio is the prime example of patience in developing a goalie.
