ALL ABOARD!

Lots of complaining but no one offering solutions. How do you propose to give the sponsored forums prominence but not hinder the usability of the Off Topic forum?
I like KevanGuy's suggestion though. Make the OT Forum a sub-forum like the others and then rearrange the sub-forums by use.
It would take an extra click to get to the OT Forum posts but it would clean up the posts page.
General Forum - Off Topic
- Food & Entertainment
- Tech
- Contests
- Realtor 1
- Ask an Educator
- Mortage Made Easy
- Gem
In my opinion, it should also be a stipulation of the sponsored forums that the "owners" of that forum post at least once a week. It's on the owner to make their sub-forum useful or it's wasted space.

There have been a couple ideas to be fair, it's still a small thread. I was hoping I'd get used to it.. but nope ugly is ugly.
I do think the onus is on the owners of the sponsored forums to be apart of the forum if they want theirs to be a success. You can't just build it and hope people come. Yeah, they didn't attract any posters but they didn't attempt to. Realtor1 brought people to his section slowly, by first taking part in the main sections. We can move and make these sub forums as prominent as we want, but if the guys sponsoring them don't partake, that's on them.
I'm still a little confused what DataDoxy is up to. Ask an Educator? Okay cool, but why? Are you tutoring looking for students, doing this to expand your network? Or just have extra money to throw around for internet promotion?

It doesn't bother me to be honest.
I just use the wheel on my mouse and scroll.

I doubt that Bingo is charging his wife too much to have a subforum.

I collapsed the now vacant Sponsored Forums section on the front page, and usually just click the direct Sub-Forum links for the OT forum I want to visit.

Neato. Didn't know you could do that. Gets rid of that massive list of members at the bottom too.

Playing around with the styles, just choose CP Style 2 instead of CP Style 2a from the drop down at the bottom left.

I remember that idea! MMF planting seeds...
Great job, photon. Looks 100x cleaner and much nicer. I hope to god you're drawing some sort of cash from this site, even a free Swiss Chalet dinner once a month.
