None from that list, I'd prefer if we had Bourque back if only so that CP collectively could have one whipping boy to blame things on as most everything would be his fault. As a matter of fact, I'm still going to blame everything going wrong on Bourque. The lazy jerk.

I'd go with Iginla. He puts up 20-30 last season and Calgary gets another 8-10 wins in those 1 goal games. Playoffs.
Wideman already has 4x the points Bouw does this season. He's a major downgrade offensively and is probably the furthest thing from a mentor to any young player. No effing way to either of the old Panthers. I'd take Cammy back as well.

It was between Bouwmeester and Camalleri for me. I went with the d-man because that's a more pressing need for this team than a scoring winger.
With that said, I would take what we got in the trade any day of the week over Jay Bo, but I don't think that was the question in the OP. It's not a matter of which trade you want to redo, but rather which player would you like back on the team.

I would take Bouwmewster only if it meant we also keep the prospects. The fall off from 1/2 to the rest of the D pairings is pretty big in my mind and good old Jay would slot right in at number 3. He may not have been what we were hoping to get when he came here but he is s till a quality defenseman and better than 4/6 of our roster. I also thought he was his best under Hartley.

I'd swap Tanguay for David Jones without a second thought.

Kipper is #1, Bouw #2 and Iggy 3. Love to have all 3 back however we are still a long ways away from being a contender so lets keep building.

Was tempted to say Bouwmeester - he is the player who would be a clear upgrade and would push Wideman down to #5. But I'm not sold on him either, and in a couple of years we may be saying Bouw who? as we watch Poirier tear it up.

I am assuming that this doesn't involve unwinding any transaction. That said, we need RW and D depth. I'm not a Jaybo hater, nor an Iginla/Tanguay hater like some here. I think Jaybo's compete level was fine - he just didn't overtly express emotion on the ice (or in interviews). As long as you don't need him for offence, he's OK. I think his skating and passing are as good as Russell's and his defence is better. I'd actually pair him with Wideman and Russell with someone else to make 2 roughly equivalent second pairings.
I think Iggy or Tanguay would be fine on a wing here. Not crazy about Mike C. - never was.

By giving up nothing (including what was gained bby trading them)?
Would take Bouwmeester.
Would also take Regehr as a stop gap until the defence can fill out. I think he's hurt right now, but he's still a mean SOB and we could use some more of that on the back end.

I picked Tanguay, but Bouw is a close second. They both took a lot of crap when they were here, but I thought they were both great Flames.

I voted none, but if I could have a 25 year old Iggy, I'd take him. Also, I'd take J-Bow, today if I didn't have to return the return on the deal.

I said none as I don't think any of those players would be a good fit for the current chemistry and speed game this team plays.
I would have said Iginla purely for his play and filling a huge hole on our right wing, but considering his history with the team it would be hard for anyone to look at Giordano as the captain instead of him. If he hadn't played so many years here as the captain I would easily like to have someone of his skill set and experience on this team. It would honestly be a great fit if not for the history.

Ugh, disappointed by the overwhelming love for Bouwmeester. Despite his high end skill set and obvious abilities to fit into the system, people forget that he's a BLACK HOLE in terms of leadership, character, and tenacity. He also just never had an extra gear in crunch time. I've never seen anyone that was simply unaffected by losing…or winning for that matter.
Getting the end result of Poirier, Smith, and Cundari just for him was an excellent return. I wouldn't go back on that deal at all.

As a lot of people have posted, Bouwmeester would thrive in our current system and I will always appreciate what Iginla brought to this team. I did vote none as it was time to move on and change the direction of the team.
