Leaders aren't even afraid of saying we shouldn't talk in private anymore. That's how bad this has got in such a short time.
EDIT: To add, the world isn't that dangerous a place. In fact, it's as safe as it ever was, despite the horrific nature of recent events. But governments around the world have become addicted (there's really no better word) to having this level of information.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that. I agree the end to end encryption should be the standard.
My point is that when the government starts complaining about encryption standards similar to how the the PM or the FBI is, it means encryption standards might be actually working. Therefore I see this as a good thing.
I'd be worried if they said nothing like the NSA has for decades and it turns out they have a lot more access to private data than we thought possible.
