Make sure you buy tickets for the event in your town! My friend has a not so smart employee who drove to Calgary for the day to pickup some stuff and decided to see if the Flames were playing that night. Sure enough they were so they went online, bought two tickets for a total of $60 and headed down to the dome where they found out they bought tickets for a road game.

So far, safe for one game...but that's definitely a good point haha, thanks.

I got a pair of lower bowl tickets, row 7 right at the net section where the Flames shoot twice at for Philly.

Looking into tickets for the remaining games...wow the Rangers and Islanders are expensive...surprised Philly was so cheap ($170CAD for 2 seats total).
Stubhub had some amazing deals for the Devils and Islanders last year. I got lower bowl (Devils) and VIP on the red line (Isles) for less than $70 combined. The Isles will be higher demand this year though.

Nosebleed seats are 100% the safest place to be in the building. Get loaded and make sure to stand up a lot and yell as often as possible. If anyone has a problem get louder and more obnoxious. If they still have a problem get right up in their face and tell them where they can go. Make sure to rub every goal and win in the opposing fans faces as much as you can. This will ensure a great experience.

This seems like it comes straight out of the Canucks fan handbook. Not sure if serious or ironic.

Hahaha, holy crap! I just checked it out myself, and the same general area I sat for the Islanders last April (VIP section 203) has nothing below $100. I paid like $25. The Devils are still pretty cheap, though. I was lower bowl corner on the Flames attack side. Those can be had for $50.

BTW, if you are spending the night in Newark, the Best Western Robert Treat Hotel was pretty good. It's also only about a 5 minute walk from the arena. Nassau is in the middle of nowhere, so if you drive, I think the parking was $20.

I stayed overnight at the Pennsylvania Hotel in Manhattan. It's basically a giant crappy, run down hotel, but is two blocks from MSG. I went up the Empire State Building after the Rangers game. Great views of New York at night, but if you go, don't waste your money buying access to the 102nd floor. It was small, crowded and no outside access. The views were no better than the 86th floor either.
