Oh and milk being good to help you sleep because it contains triptophan.....it has SO LITTLE of it, you'd need to drink gallons and gallons of it to get any notable effect. You're better off eating 2 or 3 turkeys to try and get it to help.
Its actually a bad idea because your body is going to take those calories and be "satiated" by them while you're asleep, meaning when you're awake you're likely going to eat even more calories to feel just as full throughout the day.
And people wonder why kids are obese nowadays, eating sugary cereal right before bed. Christ, what a terrible idea.

Diabetes.
Okay, I'm exaggerating quite a bit but with our society's obsession with high carb foods I'm surprised that diabetes doesn't affect more people.

Used to do it. Never since I've been an adult though. Just may have to give it another shot.

Cereal before bed? I'm sure I've done it, but only because I'm hungry and need a snack.
Cereal for dinner? Absolutely.
I've also had cereal for dessert -- some of the sweeter cereals hit the spot quite nicely IMO.

In the context of this thread, is cereal a ephanism for something else? Or are we really talking bout cereal?

Any other nighttime cereal lovers on the Puck?

A bowl of Fruit Loops is a good anytime, especilally before and after bed. I was gonna have a mandarin orange but I'm gonna have some Fruit Loops right now instead.

They mean it's a good idea when you're totally baked, right?

I'm in my 30's with no kids, absolutely cereal before bed. Not every night mind you, but it's in no way odd/unique, it's just a great bedtime snack.
