Agreed. Monahan has been saddled with 2nd tier soring wingers all season as Gaudreau and Hudler are the premier scoring wingers on the team. No slight to Glencross but I really believe it's been a bit of a waste having him paired with Monahan for most of the season because they are both shooters and Glencross isn't much of a set-up guy.

id like to try Bouma on the RW with Glencross and Backlund. I'm not convinced Colborne can keep up with the other two. or not kill the play once the other two force a turnover.

Good start for them, but they need to spend more time on CP before the panel next time.

Healy messed it up too, he said
"Earned.." (paused as he realized he ####ed up) "Not given."
Thanks for showing up bud.

Assuming Smid is good to go, I don't get this. Engelland looked like a pylon last night on the Sheahan goal. At least Smid is good for more than 8 minutes of ice time.

@SUNRandySportak: Also, #Flames coach Hartley said Ladislav Smid won’t play in Friday’s game. Close to playing, but not yet.

I believe in the Jays.
|
Mmmmm... like the look of those lines. I'd probably swap Backs and Monahan but damn... does the line-up ever look better with Backs back.

I bet guys love when emergency goalies are called in for practice. I bet there isn't 1 shot on Krahn below the shoulders.

Wouldn't be surprised if that was the lines next season. Poirier might fight got a spot too.

This. Then, when healthy put Jooris between Raymond and Colborne.

^that was awesome. He was watching the game last night and got a call from Conroy and Gelinas telling him to get his ass down to the rink, when Ramo went down. Can you imagine!

I heart these lines.
Best lineup we've had all year.

That lineup gets physically dominated more often than not. You won't win much when 9 of your 12 forwards are below average size and not enough skill with speed to make up for it.

Yeah, the first line there needs to replace someone with size. And probably more defence too. So Monahan. Or Maybe Backlund.
That way you spread the creativity around some by separating Gaudreau and Bennett.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett gets wing time next year, since NHL centre is hard for rookies.

Line 1 = speed, defensive centre, offence = good
Line 2 = grit, some offence, decent speed, decent defence, size = good
Line 3 = fast, a decent defensive guy and a good forechecker. Granlund can pass, Byron and Raymond can skate, Raymond can shoot if he gets back to his early form (I thought, bad passes aside, last night was his best since his injury) = good.
Line 4 = This is a nice 4th line that I wouldn't be surprised to see pot a couple. No longer a defensive black hole. = good
This lineup will allow more even ice time IMO.
