People need to take off the Flames glasses and realize that Mrazek let up on the bad offside call. He heard the whistle like the rest of the wings and stopped up. It was a bad call, but putting this loss on the linesman is ridiculous.
And the mask goal was absolutely the right call.
Just a couple bad breaks went against the Flames in the final push there, it happens, but the pitchforks for the refs is a bit much.

I've hated the Wings since that last playoff series. They got away with murder.

Apart from the goal, Raymond makes bad play after bad play. I'm glad Backlund is back though. Can't wait for the league to put in a ref challenge rule

Very frustrating way to lose. Goats of the game tonight:
1. Our crappy PP.
2. The dumbass linesman who made that ######ed offside call.
Overall I thought the Flames played really well against an obviously superior opponent. We may have been outmatched in the skill department, but the Flames played hard and made a game of it as usual. If this team can ever get their PP going, they'll win a lot more games than they'll lose.
Friday's game is huge. Flames really need to get back in the win column and get 2 points before they head out on the road for a very tough road trip.

How about the missed delay of game that would've led to a 5 on 3? I really hope these 2 points don't prevent us from making the playoffs.

The goalie mask was the right call, BUT as a goalie myself dude needs to lock his #### down. It came off very easily twice in one game. It nearly cost us two goals.

Its not because the Puck went in off the shot. It was the wrong call period. It killed the play.

How much is Mrazek payed? Surely he can go buy a mask that fits, how many times can it fall off in one game?
It was the right call but it's so frustrating to see

Glencross knew exactly what he was doing, an accidentally-on-purpose kind of play, trying to get away with it but it didn't work out.

Actually it was usually bad play (bad pass) after good play (carrying the puck really well and driving the zone).
I'm actually satisfied with Raymond in this game (like Hrudey) - a big improvement over his last stint. He wasn't the reason for the loss. The reason was a crap power play IMO. The game could have been over in the first if they capitalized on the early PPs after the goal.

Is there anything Mason Raymond offers that Sven Baertschi doesn't?

Took the puck out of the zone, too, after the Flames had been killing it on the extra man. They never recovered.

Exactly . the only time my mask came of was do to thunderous shots. One time it flew 5 feet to a slapshot that crushed the forehead of the mask.

Sure but it didn't cost the Flames the game. It cost the Flames a decent scoring opportunity.
Not to mention they're making that call at full speed and only have a split second to decide. It was pretty damn close that we only realize it's the wrong call for sure on replay.

I stand by my feeling that we REALLY need to find a legitimate FINISHER. We need a pure goal scoring machine. This team looks really well all around, except for we lack that one guy who can bury the puck.
Also we missed Hudler a lot IMO.

BS.
Glencross is the most underrated Flame.
