Nice to see the Jets lose. Especially with Hutchinson in net.

Halfway through the season they're just a .500 team now.

... yeah, with our top 4 D out, Kane out, and yet we're still 2nd in the league for time leading games, fancy stats are top half of the league, and we're still in a playoff spot.

It is great to see where the Jets are half way into the year with such adversity.

Their top dman Byfuglien is still playing so that statement is incorrect.

Evander Kane is addition by subtraction. Guy sucks.

With Dallas on a roll now .500 won't be enough to make it when all is said and done. Even a WC berth will be tough as you know the Kings and Sharks will turn it up down the stretch.

And then you have the league slowly getting video on Hutchinson and adjusting.

Feel good stories are nice and all but the Jets have always been a mediocre team with a mediocre core...good enough to never draft high but still outside the top 8. Which is pretty much where they're headed again.

buff was moved back to forward last year and put back on D when our top 4 went out. As for the rest of your post... I guess time will only tell. Fancy stats and underlying metrics suggest you're wrong though.

I think he means they have won 20 of 40 games, so a .500 team now. Hard to know what to do with shootout/OT losses.

Unlike Red John, I like the Jets. And I'm surprised that I do.

Lol, this is such a random stat, not saying it's good or bad just seems like a stat that was cherry picked.

I haven't watched them play all that much but I would be shocked if the Jets made the playoffs. I just don't think they have the depth or the star power. They've just been riding a hot goalie. Then again, a hot goalie can carry the team into the playoffs (2004 anyone?). Like a previous poster said, from the outside looking in it seems like they are better off without Kane.

I just can't see the Jets and the Flames taking the two wild card spots and the Flames are a better team (not that I'm biased or anything...). Best case IMO is that somehow they both make it in, would be cool to see the Jets back in the playoffs.

It's very random and I would have never known about it but it was on a TSN Jets game broadcast... it kinda stuck with me. Pittsburgh being #1. I think the Jets need a lot to go right to make the show but they're a better team than last year for sure. Hutch is a big part, I agree. Jets only chance is to tread water until Enstrom Bogo Trouba Stuart get back.

Sportsclub stats give us 60ish % but really I think its no better than a coin flip from injuries.

I also disagree about Kane and us being better off without him. He isn't really scoring this year, yes, but his fancy stats and defensive zone work is great. With him on the ice the Jets are basically better off in terms of +/-
