Especially if we go on a tailspin like that again. We lost more games in a row than we had in the entire rest of the season.

If that happens again the dream is well and truly dead.

This is a great situation for the Flames to be in (at least a lot better than it could of been). A short break to feel good about themselves and take a step back from the game.

One things for sure, the Flames enjoyed that Kings win just as much if not more then a die hard Flames fan. From top to JG, this organization wants to make the playoffs and has the heart to make it happen.

The kings really let off the pedal. I expect them to be flying when they meet after Christmas.

It's funny how much trouble the Flames give the Kings lately, just as they used to come up big against the Red Wings when the Wings were at the top.

The win last night was definately a confidence booster and will help them going forward. That being said it's not enough to get them back in the playoff race.

Expecting the team to continue with these miracle finishes is not realistic. They need to get back to playing 60 minutes of hockey with an emphasis on reducing the mental errors that have cost us dearly during the slump.

Tough to choose between #1 and #2 options. Went with #1 as I think that was the seasons blip on the radar. Next three games should be a solid indicator as to how everything will shake out. I think the Flames are in L.A's head now after last night and last season. I'm seriously hoping that Edmontons two games are a cake walk. Showing a clear visual separation in talent and work ethic between the two. Visually this needs to happen!

One game is too premature to choose any option really.

I think the Flames finish over .500 for sure, even last year they were around that mark, and way above in the second half.

They'll be in the playoff hunt, but that's not to say they will make the playoffs. Still, we'll have interesting hockey the whole way I think, barring perhaps the last two to three weeks in a bad scenario.

To add: I think the Flames finish just out, which many will probably feel that is the worst case scenario for the Flames. To me though, I feel it's far better news to see the culture we have, and the development the players are making, than to not have it and get a better pick. To see the opposite, look north.

If we were in the bottom five, not sure we see all these positives, this year, or in the future. Whether or not it's because we are not capable of them, or because we don't get to them cause we're not working as hard as we should be at all levels. I know a lot of people can't wrap their head around that, but I truly believe it. I think the positives we are showing now, outweigh a top five pick.

And just personally I guess, I'm so sick and tired of how it's become vogue to cheer for losses. That's not what sports is about, and I'm glad the Flames and the Flames org is showing that perhaps, that's not a smart thing to do anyway.
