David William Naylor ✔ @TSNDaveNaylor
R @BSinopoli to Ottawa, where he played University ball for the Gee-Gees.
Scott Mitchell @SUNMitchell
You want some Nik Lewis speculation? Two teams I've heard could kick tires are #Bombers and #Ticats. That's just hot-stove talk. #CFL

OL Sir Vincent Rogers signs with @REDBLACKS
Also sounds like Sam Hurl has signed with Winnipeg

Should've signed with Calgary. He and Johnny Hockey could've taken turns sitting on each other's shoulders to try to get on the rides at Calaway Park.

Winnipeg been busy with the FA signings. They signed former Stamps OL Stanley Bryant for $160K a season. Good on Winnipeg because I definitely think Bryant will help the Bombers but 160K is a little too rich for me. They also signed R Darvin Adams(Toronto), DL Ivan Brown(Toronto), LB Sam Hurl(Saskatchewan) and International OL Marc Dile(Hamilton). There is also a rumour that they are pursuing QB Kevin Glenn. I think this team is a good fit for Glenn.
Ottawa was pretty busy too signing WR Ernest Jackson(BC), OL Sir Vincent Rogers(Toronto) and rumoured to already had an agreement with former Stamps WR Brad Sinopli. Stamps were negotiating with Sinopli but both sides are a little apart. Besides Brad wanted to play in the East preferably in Ottawa. I believed they signed R Greg Ellingston(Hamilton) also.
FA Rumours :
LB Rennie Curran of Edmonton will not re-sign with the Eskimos. Eskimos might also lose RB Kendall Lawrence. Also hearing that Stamps might lose Keenan MacDougall to Saskatchewan Roughriders. MacDougall is one of my favorite from Stampeders but if he signs with the Riders, he is no good to me now.
According to Farjan, 3 teams are looking into signing QB Kevin Glenn. They are the Riders, Alouettes and Blue Bombers. I hope he signs with the Bombers to back up Drew Willy.
2014 players already signed with the NFL teams :
C Brett Jones(Calgary) to NY Giants, DE Shawn Lemon(Calgary) to Pittsburgh Steelers, LB Ian Wild(Winnipeg) to Pittsburgh, OL Ben Heenan(Sask) and WR Duron Carter(Montreal) both signed with Indianapolis Colts, John Chiles(Toronto) to Chicago Bears, Jalil Carter(Toronto) to Minnesota Vikings, Matt O'Donnell(Edmonton) to Cincinnati Bengals and Delvin Breaux(Hamilton) to New Orleans Saints.

It is sad to see just how far the Argos have fallen in terms of public perception, but choosing to play their "home" opener in Fort McMurray has to be a low point for that franchise. Pan-Am Games or not, surely there is a college field available in Ontario that could have hosted? Or even playing in Ottawa, before moving 2700KM west into enemy territory and a facility with 5000 permanent seats?

Yeah seriously what the hell happened there?? I mean I could kind of understand if it was Edmonton playing a home game in the mac on the basis of growing their fanbase or whatver, but Toronto? You're telling me there isn't a single field with seats around it somewhere in southern ontario?

I heard about the Fort Mac game but I just assumed it was preseason game, not a regular season game (let alone an Argos home game).

as per TSN, Saskatchewan Roughriders signed QB Kevin Glenn today (February 19th). I still think the best fit for him is in Winnipeg.

So long Geronimo!! Sad to see Nik Lewis leave the Stamps. Unfortunately there is no spot for him on the team. It'll be strange seeing #82 not wearing Red and White.
QB Dan Lefevour also signed with the Alouettes.

Sad to see Nik leave. I still think he has a one or two more good years in him.

Possible rule changes proposed:
http://www.stampeders.com/article/sy...now-reviewable
A kick for a single point, which now comes from the 12-yard line, would come instead from the 32-yard line.
Last year, 99.4 per cent of kicks for a single point following a touchdown were successful. For field goal attempts from between 31 and 33 yards, 81 per cent were successful.
The Governors also have the option of choosing to test a more radical approach during pre-season games: a convert worth three points when a team chooses to run or pass the ball over the goal line from the ten-yard-line.
Also to improve game flow, the Rules Committee wants to remove the ability of a coach to request a measurement, leaving it to the Referee to measure when he is unsure if a first down has been made or not.

I really don't understand the fascination the CFL and NFL have with wanting to mess with converts

moving it back to the 32? Math tells us a team should go for 2 every time rather then take the 80% chance for 1 from there.
