Just curious, how has our corsi/fenwick been over this losing streak? Am I right in suspecting that it's inverted and the Flames are losing when advanced stats suggest they should be winning?

If by Glencross you mean Byron, then yes, I agree.

At least before he was getting chances and using his speed.

He's been complacent lately.

Is it fatigue setting in or has the swap of a couple players really altered the team that dramatically?

A lack of attention to detail, some fatigue due to consecutive losses, and a bit of bad luck with pucks getting behind goalies but not the line.

They need to maintain the effort, but the defensive side really has to be better.

clean up the mistakes and bare down on scoring chances

beyond the gaffs they didn't give up much and had 20+ scoring chances

Glencross contributed tonight, but yea, that's cool, everyone can trash him.

Byron is useless.

Just some stats from the losing streak, some of which I posted in the GT, not suppose to be overly negative against any players, just some things that I noticed.

Only 4 even strength goals on this losing streak that were not scored by the Gaudreau, Hudler line.

3 total points by the returning players, Colborne has one assist and Stajan has two

18 of the 29 points scored during this streak were scored by Monahan, Gaudreau, Hudler, Jooris, Granlund, Brodie or Gio

3 for 21 on the powerplay during this losing streak

10 goals on a total of 195 shots.

Seems like their ability and skills have just taken a nosedive in this streak. Were they playing over their head? Was that pace of hockey too fast for them to maintain? Not sure but they just look brainless like Brent Sutter is telling them what to do or something

Throughout this losing streak the Flames' play has been good but at the same time they're fighting the puck mightily. Passes aren't clean, recieving said passes is a juggling act. I do think for the younger guys logging so many games in such a short span of time is in fact catching up to them.

The Flames in front of Ramo lately have been a disaster. Not sure what's gong on there but hot damn is Ramo really souring me. I know turn overs and miscommunication are part of it but Ramo's also been super scrambly in net too. Maybe his scrambling is getting into the players heads and second guessing things in a split second.

I'm going to say a myriad of teeny little things are breaking the Flames down lately. And the upcoming break is sorely needed.

Just to keep watching and ride this thing out and hope they can turn it around quickly here. The bottom feeders are catching up quick so....
