Ohhhhhh, thank god.
If MAdden 06 for PC was released a month after the console versions, I think I would loose my head.
As for now, I'll just sit and wait in anticipation.
For those who already own console versions, how tough is it now with that QB vision tool?

Its easy. With the Vision tool you can really fake out people who are playing with you.
And it also Really depends on which QB you have. Brady has a cone which can basically see the entire playing field, where as Vick has a tiny cone and you have to be a really precise passer, or you take off and run.
And passing outside the cone? Not a huge deal, although you will not throw as accurately, and you cannot use percision passing (placing the ball infront, behind, above, at the knee) and in tight coverage it can really make a difference. But as far as adjusting with the cone and refocusing on another player it takes about a quarter second, but of course, it does slow you up a touch.

Pssssst, Caramon, wanna tell me how Culpepper's cone is????
How does precision passing even work.....
Say the receiver is running from left to right on a cross pattern. To give it to him in front of him, you'd have to push the R stick a little right when letting that pass go?

Culpepper's cone is in the top 5-10 QBs in the NFL, but its not the best (Manning and Brady are easily the top 2) (yeah minny is my favorite team too), but his passing accuracy is probably the best in the NFL, and he can run like a freight train, fast and harder to take down.
Playing it for Xbox its really easy. All your receivers are queued in 5 buttons, X, Y, O, black circle, white circle, On the Xbox controller. You have 2 choices when you start 1) Vision cone on No-one (R-Trigger + A before snap), and it just focuses straight downfield (and is larger than if you focused on just 1 player). 2) Vision Cone locked on a single player - (R-Trigger + button of reciever you want to focus on), the cone then locks on to him and follows him across the field. You can also do that during the play and it is almost instantanious.
For the Percision part - Push your movement stick in the direction you want to throw it (so its your L-stick on Xbox or Directional pad) (so if your didn't stop on a roll out, you'll always throw in the direction you are running for example). Its a double edged sword. Cullpepper doesn't have a problem with rollouts I find, since his accuracy is so good.
If you want to play the Vikes tho its kind of tough - Because Burlison is your #1, and hes only above average in the ratings. Still pretty good tho - And I don't think Smith is in the game, Bennett gets all the carries.

Ahhhhhh, alright, so the QB vision isn't as bad as I had first anticipated. I figuered you had to MOVE the R-trigger around while standing in the pocket. I thought that would be downright impossible. But not too too bad.
ANd thanks for the descriptions. I play PC version but use the xbox gamepad, I just hope I can set up my buttons properly, cuz for MVP they were fataed up.
Smith isn't in the game? Uh-Oh....and Burleson would be just and average receiver I imagine. I would probably be inclined to, right off the bat, re acquire Moss or someone like Chad Johnson.
Well the wait is less then a week, so here's hoping it's worth it.
Thanks Caramon.

Smith isn't in the game because of the whole drug/Whizzinator incident in the off season. Hes suspended for the year (in real life) so I don't think they bothered to add him.
And they also have that new guy, the one they picked up in the draft, but hes a 2/3 guy right now.
But overall the Vikes have very good passing schemes and combined with Cullpepper's throwing accuracy, you can still do a very good job. Playbooks really vary team to team by a wide margin, in superstar mode, I tried to be the #2 receiver for the Jets - Didn't work out very well. The AI was giving me 2-3 passes a game for short yardage. All of their plays were for Coles, Tight Ends or Curtis Martin.
As well their Defense is rated very well in the game (Vikes).
I still haven't created any Custom schemes, but I'm gonna try that in a bit.
