That's the problem with the standings now, it's stupid that it's not top 8 anymore. The Flames are in a tie with the Sharks for 3rd place in the division as the Sharks hung on for the 2-1 win. The Jets are also tied with the Flames and Sharks with 36 points. The Kings are just a point behind all of them in 9th place. The Flames could be in a wildcard spot if the Kings beat the Habs on Friday.

The Lightining beat the Hurricanes 4-2 and take over 1st place in the eastern conf and are tied with the Bhawks for the overall lead. The Bhawks have won 8 in a row as they beat the Bruins 3-2. The Predators have won 5 straight with a 5-1 win over the Coyotes. The Blues won 6-3 over the Islanders. Tavares got shaken up as he dove head first into the empty net trying to stop the puck from going in. The 2 Central div teams are just a point behind the Bhawks and Bolts.
