Oilers call press conference for Friday 9am

Oilers caving into to all the hubub, making sure they save face in the national media, who finally took attention the last few days as the losses hit double digits.

Problems were there at loss 1,4,6,10, but only now when the goodwill the Oilers try and create by being open with the media starts to wane, do the Oilers scramble.

they have to call some sort of press conference so people actually show up to the game sunday i'd imagine. trying to encourage fans things will turn around

Only the Oilers would talk about bold moves, be worse in season 8 of a rebuild than they were in any other rebuild season, pretty much eliminated from the playoffs before December, go on an 11 game losing streak, and hold a press conference to do............nothing.

Hopefully MacT at least gives us a few good nuggets.

As a Flames fan, does anyone care how he handles his team or if he dodges or talks to the media?

Only reason this should be of any interest is to hear some of his responses, the fact that Lowe has thrown him to the wolves to take all the heat...and, as the the media up there seems to have turned against the club since the last Oilers presser (and really the first time in decades), interesting to see how pointed the questions get.

I actually like MacTavish. Lowe however, totally dislikable. Inflated ego without accomplishing a thing. He should be present to face the media questions. Even better would be for him to open himself up to season ticket holders.
