I've been using a small fan for over a decade, I love the sound, and it works great.

I love falling asleep to any of David Attenborough's wildlife or nature specials. That man has the most soothing voice on the planet.

Right now I am using a large standing fan I bought at Costco, but it is to quiet. Maybe it is how they designed it, to make less noise. This hurts me. The next generation of humidifiers are also to quiet, those jerks.

I tried using an app last night for rain, didn't work that great. I was running it just off the ipod though maybe I need to hook it up to some speakers. The problem is that the sounds that wake me up are the loud ones, the sound of high heels on the concrete above me or outside my door (building is all concrete floors/walls) or the slamming of a neighbours door as they get home from the bar/work late at night.

I've talked with said neighbour and she stopped throwing Sunday night partys, but she still works late and comes home late and I can't tell her she isn't allowed to live.. just trying to figure out the best way to mask the noise. Maybe I should try a louder fan. Or find one on kijiji because the older ones seem to be the loudest.

I bought a cheap box fan at Target earlier this year. Even at the lowest setting, it still sounds like a jet engine taking off.

I don't use it for white noise, but it would certainly drown out pretty much anything.

People think I'm weird when I am trying to find the loudest fan possible. I found the black Honeywell fans to be the loudest (although they have come out with a fan that is 25% quieter - dicks!).

Getting a good night sleep is something I've struggled with my entire life. Things changed for the better when I started taking Nytol sleep aid. For the first time in ages, I slept like a baby. I've moved over to Melatonin and it's equally as efficient. I only take it on work nights, never on weekends or when drinking. Weed used to work really good for me, but I don't smoke that much anymore and it never works as well as it used to. Usually just put a documentary on my laptop when I go to bed and pass out like that.

I tried out the Ambiance app last night, used the window air conditioner unit download, worked really well. I liked it a lot.
