Whilst I'm not in any way trying to detract from what Gio and Brodie has achieved this season, would they be trailing Hedman had he played as most of the season for the Bolts?
If Gio and Hedman continue the pace they are on and stay healthy I think that Hedman will get the votes to win, although I think Gio deserves it more. Being in the west will hurt Gio. Voters will just look at the stats and not the overall picture. Hedman plays with a boat load of talented players while Gio not so much. So Gio should get it just based on the fact that he is putting up these numbers with the players he is playing with.

Watching Yakupov try to dance his way past two defenders a foot away from him makes me laugh. That may have worked in junior.

The Habs and Avalanche are tied at 2-2 in the second period.

I really hope the Bruins win tonight, anyone watching the game? The flames can catch them tomorrow night if they lose. Go Bruins!

How will the Oilers lose? An own goal by Hall, most likely. It will be brilliant, no doubt, possibly involving a toe drag.

Rieder scores again, 2-1.

Both goals shorthanded on the same penalty kill.
