Since every team has some variation of a white jersey, I think having your team color jersey for your home fans just makes sense.

Yeah, I hope it never goes back to white jerseys for the home team.

Forget white jerseys at home, the Flames should be in retro jerseys at home.

Makes no sense to have your home team wearing a different color than the official team color that the fans are wearing. It was a very smart move for the NHL to go back to darks at home and I hope they never change it again

I actually prefer the white jersey at the moment out of the two, but having your team color at home makes more sense (Unless your Winnipeg at home in the playoffs).

I just really wish we went back to red/yellow/white as our colors. The black just muddles things up for me. They original colors shouldn't be "retro". They should just be our colors.

I still want to see a yellow jersey one day

I think the retro Flames 3rds from before the wordmark era were the nicest jerseys around. I hope they bring them back in a full-time home jersey capacity.

Like Flames Red against Oilers Blue.

Stick with the Red and stay with the Red home jerseys, it works. It has become the Flames home image.

How bad? So they can never watch soccer, college football, rugby or auto racing?

Although whites were cool back in the day, I do dig the darks at home more. I just wished we wore our old school white and reds as our normal jerseys.

I wouldn't mind having them wear whites at home once a year just for the fans to see them in something different.

I remember the Flames wearing them at home for Conroy's 1000th game and also in a preseason game last year. It was weird cheering for the white team, but cool to mix it up.

That was during Vancouver's 40th Anniversary year and they wore a white retro jersey a few games that season. Colorado had played in Vancouver two nights before they played in Calgary (and the Nucks wore their retros in that game), so they brought their dark uniforms on the road trip.

The same thing happened again when the Leafs came to town that season and probably a few more games I don't remember.

Not too worried about that but these teams with their all black uniforms look lousy on HDTV.
