I think its right in line with the going rate. Take a look at Brodie, he was at exactly 185 games when he finished his season last year. In those 185 games he had gathered 8 goals and 51 assists for 59 points and was looking poised to have another great year, though I don't think anyone could have predicted this kind of start. What was it 10-15 games in and we extended him at 4.65? I think.
Scandella has had much the same start to his career as Brodie, playing in parts of seasons before breaking out last year as a possible top 4 threat on the Wild. Through 186 games now he is sitting at 12 goals 28 assists and 40 points. The 20 point gap can attribute for the 650 average per year.
Right on the money for the wild here, also very right on the term.
