Does it ever get less tedious and boring?

If you liked DA:O then this is right in your wheel house.

Yes, I think so. I really despised Dragon Age II. So much I didn't even play Mass Effect 3 because of how bitter I was. But Inquisition is a quality game again.

If you do plan on buying it you can get it on greenmangaming for 25% off with the code on the main page. I am still trying to decide if I want to get this right now. Apparently Steam's fall sale starts on Thursday so I might just grab some other stuff instead.

It's fleshed out entirely story wise and gameplay wise like Origins although it is more like DA2 with it's combat mode, actually there's actually more to do than Origins.
I've played it for the last couple days and I feel as if I am only 10-15% through.
I'd give it a 9.5/10 closing in on a 10, and DA:O is the only game I've ever considered a 10.

Has anybody played co-op mode?
My favorite video gaming experience in high school was playing Baldur's Gate with 4 friends after school.

So far this game has been everything I was hoping for, and more...so glad that Bioware put the proper attention into this game after DAII and ME3. Not sure how far some of you are...just a question on the Mages vs Templars choice

Really? DA:O was supposed to be the successor to Baldur's Gate, and IMO did a good job of updating that classic cRPG gameplay, with both a strong story and great RPG mechanics of customizable characters and tactical combat.
I haven't played DA:I yet, but from what I've read, it's kept up story wise but has seriously abandoned its cRPG traditions, cutting back on your ability to customize your character and abandoning tactical combat in favour of console/mmorpg action.
I'd love to hear that those things are wrong, particularly from people playing on PC with mouse and keyboard.

You can customize your companions as far as gear and their skill tree goes, but the advanced tactics customization you could do in the first two games is gone. You can set each of their skills to disabled, enabled, or preferred, and have options for when they use health potions automatically and how much mana/stamina they leave in reserve, but that's it. Personally I don't mind the change as I always used a preset tactic for companions anyways as I hate micromanagement, and usually they're pretty smart on what skills they use when. But sometimes my tank will go charging off into a tree which is kind of annoying, so hopefully they fix up the AI a bit

I really wish that they still allowed certain settings like forcing a tank to target the strongest enemy. There is nothing worse than a mage in the party casting an AoE that makes a deer red and the tank runs off and attacks the fleeing wildlife instead of that massive demon that spawned out of the rift.

If you find one member of your party is always the first one to die, try setting the behavior on the tank to defend that person specifically. Worked well for me when my stabby rogue was always going down

Just pocked this game up. Spent 20 minuted working on my character and I picked the second voice option. Its bloody terrible. I should have tested it more. Ugh.

I spent a disturbing amount of time clicking between the two voices for male human, went with the first one.

So 60 hours later and my first playthrough is complete, and I'm fairly comfortable in calling DA:I one of the best RPG's ever made. Great story, amazing writing and dialog, some of the best characters in any game I've played, specifically Dorian, Iron Bull, and Sera (making a female elf is worth it just for the Sera romance plot alone), and probably the best looking game to date (except for the hair). I had all but written off Bioware after DA2 and the cluster#### that was the ME3 ending, but they've restored a lot of my respect for them and now I have hope that the next Mass Effect game won't just be an empty cash grab
Oh and a tip for any of those that find certain fights a little hard, bring Sera along. Her Thousand Cuts focus ability in the Tempest tree is straight up OP. She can kill an equal level dragon with one shot of it, and when I fought a dragon 2 levels above me I used my Assassin skill Mark of Death, had her use Thousand Cuts, and it went down in 5 seconds. I imagine they'll patch that fairly soon because no other focus ability even comes close to the damage of that one

Since WoW was down today, I put in about 5 hours on this game. I really enjoyed it. I had a few minor quibbles, the camera control being the biggest of them. I almost kind of feel like Tactical Mode should be a push button choice, not an "oops, scrolled back one click too far" choice.
Enjoying the story so far, but they are playing heavily to my addiction to questing in a "clean sweep" sort of manner. It felt like every time I went across the map, I'd end up with more quests than I started out with, and I can't keep up with doing them all. It's a good problem to have, though.
Overall, I've quite enjoyed what I've played of it.

Unlocked a door, and the party fell off a cliff. The game was caught in an endless loop of the party falling to their deaths. Was hard to get out of the loop, but made it back to last save point.
