But too much taxes in Quebec. Who will go there?

Ok Edmonton, you're up next. Since you are desperate for D and Vets and your core of #1s needs a shakeup, here's Allen and Gonchar for Hall. Also since you like drafting, here's a 1st and a 2nd.

One more reason to dislike the Ducks. I like it!

Do they think Getzlaf and Perry can do for Rene what they did for Penner. Myself - I would not let him near the top line.

The definition of insanity is the amount of times I have heard that "quote". It's driving me mental.
Let's all hope Renee takes an absurd amount of stupid penalties that cost Anaheim points in the standings. This could actually work out well for us if he does.

Ducks scrambling for some scoring. They have not been the offensive team they hoped to be this year.
Unfortunately for them, Bourque is not the answer.
Allen isn't a great player, but he's ok. Montreal wins this trade easily, especially considering the cap relief.

Montreal acquires a defenseman and gets rid of a $3.3m dead contract
What in God's name was Anaheim thinking?

Hopefully Bork destroys the chemisty of the Ducks' locker room. The team falls into shambles. Flames closer to a playoff spot.

He was their leading playoff scorer so maybe he just needs a change of scenery. He doesn't play his fearless style anymore since he was spooked by some injuries and that costed him his game.

Paul Byron forechecked him right out of Anaheim.

This is it right above. Clearing cap space.
What a great day! I am flying to Boston tomorrow to see the Habs Bruins and useless Bourque will never again sully the Habs jersey. Excellent!!

He played hard for a week last season then coasted right up until he was waived. He doesn't play his fearless style because he's lazy.

#NHLDucks GM Bob Murray on a conference call with reporters now. "Bourque will be coming to Anaheim and will get a decent look at a spot."
Murray: "With some the things that have went on, I wasn't happy w/ our forwards. I like his size and skating. We're not moving well enough."

It would be pretty amusing if Bourque forced Jackman out of a roster spot.

It's amazing to see how much Bourque's game has regressed. He was a very effective (if undisciplined) player for the Flames for 2.5 seasons. Not sure what happened to him. He used to play with a lot of heart -- but that all seems to be gone now. Chris Stewart, Devin Setoguchi, etc. Just another sad decline...

How quickly everyone forgets Bourque's playoff run. He has size and decent speed, he skates in straight lines, and goes to the net. I see him on the third line and around 20-25 points this year. With Smith-Pelly/Etem/Palmeri/Silfverberg they may have wanted a little more experience in the forward group.
I think he has plenty more upside then Allen does, when was the last time he was relevant? The Luongo trade?

Bourque seems like he'd do really well with a change of scenery... I just thought it would be the KHL or McDonalds.
