Well, as someone who has suffered a traumatic lower back injury, I have nothing but sympathy for him, despite his millions of dollars.

I'd go back to school, he's got more than enough money to put to work for him.

I dont want to rag on the guy because hes rich, the pain and having to give up hockey arent anything to ignore, but hockey players are generally aware that they're going to have to do something after hockey, hes just being forced to get a head start and hes fortunate enough to be financially able to do anything he wants, even if its nothing.

If you're in too much pain to get into a car, I would imagine sex probably wouldn't be so awesome.

It's probably another level of pain... that's dangling forbidden fruit right in front of you.

Sucks for him.

With his concussions and other injuries I looked at Horton as damaged goods. I wondered why Columbus signed him. Still a poor ending for a talented player but everyone at some time sees their athletic career end.

I wonder how much actual money the Blue Jackets have to pay on Horton's contract. What will insurance cover? I don't think the Blue Jackets are a team that's willing to spend right to the cap. This wasted money going to an injure player could really bite this team in the ass if the owner is not willing to spend money to compensate.
