It reminds me of the segment on 1,000 Ways to Die or whatever of the guy who killed himself heating up his lava lamp. If the glass tubing was bigger this kid easily could have been a goner.

It's right in the video description.

Yes, Jack is fine and his eyes still work. But more importantly the beautiful, awesome shirt is alive and well too! I still can't believe how popular this is getting! Thanks everyone!

At my high school grad someone passed a very intoxicated classmate of ours one of those sticks with the top cut off and told them it was a glow shot.

Glowing puke.

Someone should tell dad about this emergency service you can access and the best part is that it is only 3 digits to remember to access the experts......

I microwave my Cheerios. Does that make me a *serial microwaver?

*Yes, I'm aware it's spelled cereal.

Microwaving a glow stick accelerates the chemical reaction in the glow stick, causing it to glow brighter. That's probably what this kid was doing. Dad has probably been through a lot with his kid doing stupid stuff previously.

The dad actually acts incredibly rationally as his first step is not to panic or immediately try something rash but to look for the packaging to find the recommended emergency medical information in case of ingestion or exposure to the eyes, etc.

Well then I am glad that isn't my dad. What a d-bag. Boiling hot chemicals in my eye and he's worried about my shirt.

I did something similar in high school. I tried to skrink a water bottle down in the microwave; less volume to hoot back when doing bts. The bottom of the bottle blistered and I thought it was gonna burst in the microwave so I took it out. It burst on my arm. It hurt like a ####### but I flushed it with cool water. We used the bottle as intended and the pain went away.

It seems real if only for the fact that it goes right in his eyes, but a lot of the rest of it is just so off. It has that "everything has been planned out" feel to it. Well the dad, anyways.

Kid is screaming

No "OMG are you okay?" "Let me see" type of typical parent stuff. Just right to the package.

Immediately knows where the package is...
It's right in front of the camera so we get to see his reactions!

I'm sure it is real, but good lord, everything that dad did was like a planned script reading, along with typical "catchphrases" that come out of these viral videos for the masses to repeat everywhere on the internet.

"The consequences will never be the same!"

"You ruined your awesome shirt"

What is: Something your parent would never say in a million years while dealing with a serious medical issue with his son?

Haha, if my kid blows something up in the microwave and gets hurt doing it you can bet your ass that I'll be spending a lot of the time telling him he's an idiot. I don't find the reaction that off at all, to be honest.

Maybe that makes me a terrible parent.
