Update:

Champions Tour: Spittle is tied for first through 15 holes on Saturday
Ames bounces back to a T-21 thus far, but doubled his 18th hole. Ames' first 5 holes on Friday went bogey-par-bogey-bogey-bogey but has plaved 7 under since that time (including the double today). Had Ames not double bogeyed he'd have had the best round of the day. Hope he keeps it up for tomorrow.
Rutledge having trouble getting it going and is well back at t57

Web.com Early in round 3 for the Canadians

Sadlowski is T44
Fristch is T51
Brown is T66

Pga Tour

Hadwin is sneaking up the leaderboard and is T20
Roger Sloan having a tough day, going 4 over through 17 and dropping 29 spots to T62

Aaaaaaaaaaand Rod Spittle throws a 10 in his front nine card. Yes. a 10. Then follows it up with a bogey.

But still finishes with a T9. Had he parred that hole he wins the tournament.

Tough day for Canadians on every other tour. Ames was next highest finisher at T32. The rest were in the 50s or worse.

So John Daly is leading at Pebble beach right now. I would absolutely be shocked if he could hold it together for four rounds and win, but what a story that would be!

In case anyone missed it, check out Deleat's twitter war with Maple Leaf fans last week. I think it is pretty funny how the best Canadian golfer at the moment is an unabashed Calgary Flames fanboy complete with a healthy hatred of the other Canadian teams. How can he not be on CP?

Flames' own Graham DeLaet in 2nd place going into today's final round. Goosen leads and knows how to close tournaments, but has also struggled with injuries and consistency the last 4 or 5 years now.

Should be exciting.

DeLaet struggles in the rain. Lost his drives early on the front 9 and threw a few bogeys in on the back.

Finished T-8, which is great, but have to think that this one was there for the taking. Weather stunk so lots of players struggled.

Interesting way of deciding things...a 3 hole aggregate score.

Cheering for Ricky...seems like a pretty good guy.

They need to start the final round earlier if they are going to do a 3-hole playoff. Going to get dark.

What a finish. I think golf fans will be talking about that for years.

Can't remember the last time a player did something special like that to win on the back 9 on Sunday. Maybe Phil at the 2013 Open?

Rory absolutely tearing the course apart right now. 59 is in play with how he's playing.

That Chambers Bay golf course for the US Open looks spectacular. I love those types of courses. I'll have to try to get out there sometime.

Agreed, absolutely love this style of course.

I wish I had played it last year when some friends went down there - I think they've jacked up the rates due to the Open this year.

We're seeing some low scores thus far as well.

Curious what people that have been watching think of the FOX coverage so far? Only tuned in about 30 minutes ago, but seems like they make an effort to be silent before and during the shot. Kinda like that. Still, the weekend at the US Open wont be the same without Johnny Miller

Tiger +3 after 4 holes. I imagine he'll be withdrawing at some point if this keeps up.
