I pegged him as a tweener, in part because his rapid progression is so unlikely. He's clearly better than that now, but let's see what happens over a longer stretch. I remember a few other AHLers in the past having great stints with the Flames but that's all they ended up being. Hoping I'm wrong.

That's my thought as well - He's Glencross with a more consistent motor, which is very exciting.
What sold me was his first goal against Montreal. He didn't just bang it toward the goal as soon as it was on his stick, but dragged it a bit to move it past Price, despite having a defender hanging on him. Thinking and executing at a top 6 level.

ya, I think this season once more bodies are healthy he will probably be a 3rd/4th liner. If he keeps it up he can easily get 20 goals this season. I hope that happens and makes some of the older guys expendable, like maybe Glencross to get some RW help on our top 2 lines. We will see! I just hope everyone keeps on playing well together and working hard. That is really all we can ask.

He's Bobby Nystrom!
I have been trying to come up with a comparable, but couldn't think of anything other than a young Glencross, but I think I like Bobby Nystrom better:
Fast, a little grit, good defensively, and can score a few goals - not a lot, but it seems like every one is an overtime game-winner.
Oh, and popular with his team-mates. Heart and soul guy.

If you mean Eric Nystrom, than I agree.

He came in as a walk on at the 2013 development camp and was the best of the walk ons by a decent margin. He was signed then.

Too small of a sample size but he does look like he may be able to be an NHL player so I picked 4th line as I haven't seen nearly enough to pronounce him NHL 3rd line much less top 6 fill in.

His biggest asset is his skating ability.....
Jooris, looks like an NHLer the sample size is quite small but the results are impressive.
I selected solid 3rd liner.
