Zenni Optical is where I ordered my last pair of glasses.
Everywhere in Calgary for me was over $500 for a complete pair, Clearly Contacts was just over $300 for the same pair.
Zenni Optical was just over $70... I believe they are based out of LA, but the glasses are made somewhere cheaper!?
Anyways, the only issue I had with Zenni was the ability for them to provide a "Paid" invoice to claim on my benefits, but since you do not have them yet.
Just google Zenni Optical and take a look. Kids are not exactly easy on things, and there will be a few pairs you will inevitably go through.
