flames may be in tough tonight. First game back after a positive road trip, against a team that will be annoyed with their play the night before against the worst team in the league....
i'm hoping to see gaudreau build off his first really solid outing of the season last game. Monahan hasn't looked very good thus far, so also hoping to see him and hudler step it up offensively.

I hope Monahan has a strong game tonight. Hasn't truly looked himself this season yet with the flu problems and whatnot so it'll be very nice if he is able to build some confidence tonight

Exactly, I'd say there are like three teams in the west (Edmonton, Nashville, Winnipeg) that the Flames would rather face than any teams in the east. Dallas, Minnesota, and even Vancouver are all bigger threats to a team like Calgary than even Boston or Pittsburgh.
Without question there are 7-8 teams better than Tampa; Colorado is questionable right now with the way they've started off the season.

I'm still upset about 2004. Hopefully its a humiliating 6-0 win over the Bolts who end up missing the playoffs and attributing their horrible season because of losing to the Flames tonight.

Amazing news.
I don't think we'll see Diaz draw in until more injuries occur, and hopefully Wotherspoon will be ready when that happens. I can't believe anybody wanted to give this guy a contract with his passing display that make Butler look good.
Engelland was playing solid minutes on the second pairing along side Russell. But Wideman is looking better lately so perhaps he'll remain on the 2nd pairing.
