If Flames take the first 40 min off again its unlikley they will win.
This games is as winnable as they get on this road trip. I hope they smarten up.

4-1 Nashville.
On the plus side, Gaudreau scores!

Thought McGratton would have got the call against his old team.

I'm starting to think this isn't going to be an enjoyable season of Flames hockey. That roster is just putrid and the kids are either not ready or all in casts.

I think Ramo steals a game for us, 2-1, with Nashville outplaying us.
Giordano continues his point streak and Monahan scores his first goal of the season.

Setoguchi on the first line?

Just kidding. Give him another chance to see if this suck is really him or just rust I guess. Leash will likely be short I'd guess

Yeah, I think this seasons is the one were we bottom out. The positivity and good vibes of last season will be harder to maintain as the cold slog of reality sets in a bit more...and we're only in Game 4! The coaching staff definitely have their work cut out for them.

I really don't like Stajan as the 4th line center. But, maybe we are preparing him for next year.

Wideman? Really?? I guess they want to keep up the pace for the McDavid points.

That Nashville line up isn't nearly as bad as the pre-season predictions made them sound.
They could surprise. Lots of forwards with something to prove, some infusion of youth, and still great defense and elite goaltending.

Indeed. Hopefully we can get McDavid Jones back in the lineup soon to help with that as well.

It's interesting how lots of people on here are making Wideman and Setoguchi the new whippings boys.
We are only 3 games into the season! These two players can play roles that the flames desperately need filled, a top4 right handed dman and a top 6 RW. The flames need to do everything they can to get these two guys going so they can shelter minutes from the rookies and so that they are worth something come trade deadline time. No run them out of town 3 games into the season.

Yup. I'm with you guys on this. Last season was a lot of fun to watch, but so far this season, not so much. Have a bad feeling this will get much worse before it gets better.
Just wish there was a chance for more kids in the lineup.

Those 2 can play a role that we need but they have to play those roles and they haven't. Wideman gets paid to be a top 4 dman and he's playing like a press box defenseman. The team is and has given them chances to succeed in those roles but I think as fans we're getting upset and making them our whipping boys because they've done nothing to keep those roles.

No, no they can't because they suck at hockey.
