This year may be rough, but the future is looking good, especially if the Flames get another high pick next summer.
Not sure who will get sent down, going to be some tough decisions. Bennett probably will go back to junior, no harm in that. Johnny pretty much has to stay, he's involved every game. Sven is a tough one, I like the way he looks out there but I could see him go down until more injuries happen, he'll be a full time Flame sooner than later. Jooris is the surprise for me, he played really well tonight, plays with a lot of emotion. If he does get sent down, man, that's a nice call up option for the Flames.

I can certainly see now why Bennett needs to go back. Strength and conditioning are the issue. He'll break over an 82 game season. Skill, talent and IQ wise, zero chance he'd be sent down.
Gaudreau isn't going anywhere, give him #13 and call it a day.
Jooris, if he can keep that kind of play up consistently can bump Jones or Setoguchi right off of the team. In fact I feel he may have done that tonight.
Russell is in for another really good year. As is Gio. Engelland doesn't look as bad as people made him out to be.
Hiller #1 guy I think going into the season. Ramo played great tonight but goals allowed need to factor in at this point because the competition is so close.

I have been pretty consistent in my opinion that Gaudreau will likely start in the AHL. I take it back. He has earned his way onto the starting roster.

I wouldn't want to be Treliving this week!!!! Some pretty tough decisions coming.
Be nice to get rid of some dead weight. But my guess is Gaudreau makes it and maybe one more young guy. Ferland or Jooris.
I think the rest of the skill guys go down (Bennett, Grandlund, Sven).
I do think one of the plugs will get cut. Jones or Seto.
