Otherwise, Seto or Jones would be Addy-bound and then atleast two of Gaudreau / Ferland / Baertschi would be permanently up. But you simply won't see that happen.
Treliving specifically said that Seto was brought in to create competition. I hope he didn't mean to make all the prospects compete for one spot.

Normally I would agree but exactly what reputation does Jones have? Just because some idiot GM gave him $4m per for getting 45 points playing with Duchene and Hejduk doesn't/shouldn't make him a $4m per year player.

To me, he's one of the luckiest NHL players on the planet, people who win a $10 million lottery aren't as lucky as this bum.

I guess we'll see soon if he has his own brain/power or just is a Burke puppet.

Seto hasn't even come close to out playing Johnny,Sven or even Ferland.

If Jones leaves, the Flames are $100K over the floor with a 21 man roster. Add two more bodies, and it's no problem staying over the floor even with league minimum deals or ELCs.

my money is on gaudreau, and going under the radar with jooris to be the 4th line center. he played with a high motor game all camp, and was effective.

he was everything i expected reinhart to be (but wasn't).

Well put. If Reinhart had the camp Jooris did, I think he'd be a unanimous vote for opening day.

sven needs to make it... thought he showed a lot in his attitude from last year where he seemed to think he deserved a spot, to this year where he came out and earned it. thought he had the best camp aside from johnny

Under the new CBA if you send a 1 way player to the minors only a small amount I think ~$800,000 is saved on the cap? the other ~$3.2 M would still hit the cap if he were sent down.

So the Wade Redden Days are over, High limit teams can't buy themsleves out of bad contracts. and lower limit teams are able to send a vet down and bring a rookie up with really no change to their cap.

The only risk of having less money on the books would be Jones getting claimed on waivers, because his isn't getting traded. Unless Feaster has a new job?

I voted Jooris for that reason, plus he is arguably closer to his ceiling. Management may want the higher end prospects to get more seasoning
