		| The stripes on the shoulders, waist and legs brings in elements of Washington professional hockey jerseys from the 1930’s, predating the Capitals’ formation in the 1970s. A large “W” on the front of the jersey, offset in blue to contrast the white Capitals wordmark, offers a unique look never seen before on Capitals jerseys. |
No different than us mashing the Tigers and Flames jerseys together

I think they're great. I don't care what anyone else thinks. Different and yet has a classic vibe to it.

I thought the baby blue Pens jersey's looked really good. Still among my favorite jersey's of all time to be honest.

I don't think any classic jersey is going to resonate with today's style therefore I find it hard to criticize this jersey. In it's day (pretending we don't know the Capitals don't really don't go back far enough for a classic jersey) this would be a good looking jersey.

I like what they are trying to do with it. Like someone said, its better than the our HC jersey....and that eventually grew on me...so good on the Caps.
Didn't know they were playing the Hawks. These guys are good but they're in every second outdoor game it seems.

Probably been said before, a Minnesota-Colorado game would be great. Toronto can get one but they have to play it on Lake Ontario.

			Lol, I actually love it.
It's unique, it's bold and it's experimental. I'm always a sucker for these jerseys (I loved our Tigers jerseys too). Definitely would be a bit odd to introduce this as a day-to-day jersey, but for a limited event I think it's pretty cool!

Speaking of older hertiage/winter classic jerseys, is there anywhere to get one moderately cheap (50 bucks or so). I really liked the Red Wings 2014 one with Detroit over the winged wheel.

I actually got mine ludicrously cheap from Jersey City (like, $50 cheap). Don't see it on their site, so I assume that was just purging inventory.

Ugh. This thread is giving me flashbacks to our McDonalds jerseys.
I can't wait for the day we stop seeing those at the dome.

Ever??? My opinion of course, but I think all the Winter Classic jerseys have been excellent. The Detroit/Chicago game in 2009 was a thing of beauty. These Washington jerseys are no exception, I think they're very nice. Curious to see what Chicago brings out for the occasion.

Let's see what the colour scheme is though.

Too many stripes. Otherwise, good design for what it is.
