You just will never get it, will you? You know who the minority is? The moderating team - this isn't some kind of democracy, it's an oligarchy, and if things change, it's because the argument for the status quo was weaker than the arguments for change, in their collective opinion. Not because the "vocal minority" is oppressing you with some kind of feminazi conspiracy to take away your girlie pics.
Maybe instead of whining you should have tried making more coherent arguments than "OMG CHIX GONNA TELL US WHAT TO DO!!!!!", which is what your diatribes sum up as. I personally don't agree with censorship in any form, but guys like you make it hard to support that position.

And I get that, but I just worry now people will claim things "offend them" just to get threads locked. I think there might be more senseless, pointless pissing wars now. And I also worry posters will simply choose to not post as much or at all in Off Topic which is where 90% of the new guidelines will really apply. Hopefully not but again we'll see.

Who are relevant to sports and topic that are discussed. I would say they are more about appreciating the peak of the human form of both men and women vs what you are going to pleasure yourself to.

As long as the mod team recognizes the scourge of our world that political correctness unchecked can become, then I approve and support the changes (with my non-voting, powerless voice).

Oof, couldn't just lock it and let it wander off into the sunset, it had to be deleted?
Ah, well. It was fun while it lasted.

The thread should have been locked and archived, not deleted.
As there were many mysteries still needing to be solved (like who is that beautiful gal?).

There's a difference between offending one person and posting things that are offensive to half the population.
If posters don't want to post their sexist opinions as much, that's actually a good thing and will lead to a higher level of discussion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think this is about scrubbing the site of unpopular or offensive opinions. That's an impossible goal and is counter-intuitive to the point of the site. I think it's more about having an environment that encourages differing opinions, but also having a respectful environment. There's and grey area, but moderating clear sexist/racist/hateful comments is a good start.

What about moderating belittling comments that are targeted at posters that have differing opinions than the majority?
I'm not talking sexist, homophobic or racist posts. That's unneeded. If people post crap like that, they deserve to have everyone jump on them.

I think your worries place little to no faith in the mods. I can report every post of yours as offensive all day long, if it isn't deemed to be so by them then nothing happens. Not sure why "pointless pissing wars" would suddenly increase dramatically. Sure there will be some crying about THEY TOOK OUR BOOBIES!!! but they will die off the same way the complaining about the random thoughts thread did.
As far as people choosing not to post now for fear of reprisal, well no one forces anyone to be here and if someone doesn't want to post then sucks for them.

That's already covered in the User Guidelines.
Quote:
10. Thou shalt respect thy fellow poster. Treat others as you would want them to treat you. Attack the idea, not the person. Threads that degrade into personal attacks will be locked. Don't bait people into arguments. Respect that other teams' fans feel as passionate about their team and hate your team as much as you love yours and hate theirs.
Again, this can be subjective and at the moderator's discretion.
In disputes, a long time poster with a known good history will probably get the benefit of the doubt. A new poster coming in with both guns blazing, not so much... Try to establish yourself before going insane, ok?
Use of the word "troll" is becoming far too pervasive, it is an insult just like any other. Only in the most obvious of circumstances would calling someone a troll be acceptable, and even in those cases please just report the post rather than contributing to the mess.
Do not post private information about other posters.

Guess the poll didn't matter very much when over 75% of voters wanted the thread to remain in some form?

Did you eve read that thread? Multiple mods said, repeatedly, that the result of the poll was never intended to be a binding decision.

75%+ wanted it to remain in some form, get's shut down.
Text book case of "squeeky wheel gets the grease".
Why even have a poll when the wishes of a large majority are not honored due to the loud minority? It makes the moderating team look weak.
