in all the gyms i've been to in over a decade, only my university gym had more than 2 squat racks, while all other gyms have had upto 10-15 bench press benches) it is no wonder folks tend to work upper body over legs

So if it's only fitness today then I guess they only have a quick practice tomorrow before the game? Oh well at least we probably have some guys with proven chemistry already..

The gym is at Winsport. Had a chance to tour that facility last year. Wow. They even have their own on campus blood-work lab that can test athletes for various things pre and post work out.

Available to the public? I've heard of another place called strive fitness I have yet to check out.

Meh, the games are not that important. Besides, so me times the best way to find chemistry is to see who has it instantly. Not to mention that most of these guys have skated together during the prospect camp and likely more during the off season.

Aaron Vickers@AAVickers · 20m

Johnny Gaudreau reports he was checked in at 5-foot-9, 160 pounds at #Flames rookie testing.

Aaron Vickers@AAVickers · 10m Like Gaudreau and Bennett, Klimchuk in his first #YoungStars tournament. He's curious to see how he stacks up against other top prospects.

Aaron Vickers@AAVickers · 8m
Doubling back on Ortio, he hasn't thought about Adirondack. Focus remains solely on Calgary. #Flames

Aaron Vickers@AAVickers · 8m
Ortio also called the #YoungStars a great tuneup and feels it will give him a leg up on #Flames main camp.

Not bad. He had previously been listed as 150 pounds from what I can see.

He's also added 2 inches since his draft.

I would love it if Ortio plays his way on to the team. What would we do then???

Either make a trade or, as much as it seems unfair, put him in the AHL because he doesn't have to clear waiviers.

And this isn't even that small. Needs to put on some more weight, but if it's true he's the same height as Cammalleri.

Gaudreau at 5'9" 160lbs, towers over 5'7" 153lb Paul Byron now!

Awesome. Johnny doesn't even seem that small, as pointed out he's the same height as Cammy and if he can build up some muscle mass (legs like Marty St. Louis) then I don't know how he wouldn't be amazing.

Cammalleri is listed at 190, St. Louis at 180, as is Kane, who was already 160 in his draft year.

That's still some significant beef missing.

Derek Wills @Fan960Wills
.@SBennett93 says he has put on 4 or 5 pounds since development camp. @Fan960Steinberg says #Flames first rounder looks bigger and stronger.

Bennett on his physical progression this summer: "If you're asking about how many chin-ups I did, it was 11."

I hope Bennett absolutely lights up the OHL this season and has a great WJC tourney. Could be a great year for him.

Not needed, beefing up would actually take away from his shifty ability to outmaneuver hits.
