Thanks to all for the multitude of suggestions. I've begun the CAMVAP arbitration process and contacted CFCN, thanks to your suggestions.

Lots of lawyers in town, why not just hire one? Message boarding is not the normal process to justice.

Without trying to be rude to lawyers, very few things speed up from their involvement.

I've never heard of CAMVAP but looked at the link. I truly hope the process works for you. Keep your facts straight and provide documentation for all your complaints, it may work. The CFCN angle, not so much.

I wouldn't bother with the media until you exhaust all other options. My colleague managed through a ridiculous amount of persistence to get Land Rover to take back a vehicle and give him back all his payments. His was in the shop more than half the time he owned it. Took months of borderline harassment before the owner of the dealer network phoned him directly seeking resolution. Don't accept the first thing they offer you, you shouldn't take a bath on a car because its defective.

Infiniti refuses to participate in CAMVAP, so I'll get my facts together and likely proceed with a small claims court claim for breach of contract and see how that goes...

On that note, does anyone have any useful guides on the small claims court process?

Well the most you can recover in small claims court is $25k, so using it for a case involving a $60k vehicle may not be a very good option.

The limit is now $50k as of August 1.

Decal it up with lemons and drive it around. It worked for the Eastside Dodge guy. I think it also worked for that Henninger Toyota hater aswell.

Thanks for the input, appreciate it. As Delgar noted, it's now $50K. And I only do 2 year leases on my wife's cars so the actual damage to my pocketbook is a fraction of the $60K the truck's worth - so it fits (financially) with a small claims court claim.

I did some reading and I'll likely file something later next month and argue a broken contract, as the vehicle supplied did not do the job it promised.

We'll see I guess...

Article is a few years old but with the amount of technology in cars now there really should be more laws put in place to protect the consumer. Some of the European cars can turn into nightmares with electrical gremlins that are never completely solved.
