Thanked for the appropriate use of the word 'resigned'.

In all seriousness, good on you for taking this step. Employers need to know that it is important to treat their employees properly. Here's hoping you quickly find a job that brings you happiness!

Someone else mentioned it, but you should think about coming to Alberta. You can make 2-3 times that much here for less work than what you've described. Might be a few hoops, but definitely not impossible.
I sent the email to the RDO (regional director) and went in and handed the keys to the bench manager that just showed up. I was like "obviously they don't want me here if I'm being written up for not answering my phone on my day off" and she just tried to justify the write up.

Oh well it was going to take a large pay raise for me to stay there

OK, yeah you should stay right where you are. In fact, I think most of us will move down there and join you.

Yeah, the discussion last time I believe was he could make $12/hr and be criminally underpaid for his position, but live on a property that would literally be millions in the Calgary area, or move to Calgary, get paid $26-$30/hr then get a mortgage and end up making like $8-$10 an hour after mortgage payments and live in something like this for $400k

It really does beg the question; What would PIMkings property be worth if you plopped it into the Calgary area? Put that on the western outskirts and I wouldn't be surprised to see it go for $7-10mil.

PIMking, does it have a large front yard, as well?

I talked to the head housekeeper today and when they told them about me leaving yesterday they almost had a mass walk out. People were pissed and I guess a few were written up today because they're not toting their line and voiced how I was screwed.

What does a house like that cost there? As someone mentioned above, here in Calgary that would be millions of dollars especially if it was in the west end.

And if thats the front of the house- what on earth does the back look like!?!

Her dad owns it, but if we want it he will let us have it. The thing is that she is going to pharmacy school and UA doesn't have one. She'd have to go to Samford in Birmingham where the campus is about 1hr 20 mins away from here and she wants to go to UF for Pharmacy school.

I think he paid 190k for the house with 2 acres of land.

here is the kitchen sorta

I'm going to go to the gym for a bit, I'll post more photos later
